Maybe. But, I think the more realistic issue is that they wouldn't be able to do it on a technical basis. The biggest advantage the US military has is their ability to do logistics on a massive scale. Russia cannot handle even a "simple" invasion of a neighbour. You think crossing an ocean, even if it isn't super far, is something they can do, when they have a huge problem resupplying troops a few hundred kms from their border?
Of course it is a moot point. I don't know why you even wrote it in the first place. And, while the nukes of today might be "cleaner," which WTF does that even mean....they are also significantly more powerful than what was dropped in 1945 by a huge magnitude. Sure, there are smaller ones, but again, we will likely never see them used.
You should ask them if they now regret voting for MAGA. But it is a good question. First, I think you need to recognize that no ethnic group is monolithic. They all have their own viewpoint, and sometimes it can be massively regional. For example, latinos in Miami are more likely to vote MAGA than say, in Southern California. Why? Hard to say. Most of them in Miami likely came from places like Cuba. You would think they would hate an authoritarian like Trump, but they just don't like new immigrants. Now, I'm painting with broad brush strokes here, so, take it with a grain of salt. And, statistically, more latinos are becoming evangelical Christians, which means they are leaving the catholic church....for being too progressive...lol...
But, the real question will be if these latinos and blacks who supported Trump will continue to support him or MAGA heading into the mid-term elections. Now, that is still a long way out, but will you see a blue wave crush the GOP in the house and Senate? It looks increasingly likely. But, the Dems have a natural talent of fucking things up, so we'll see.

The ceasefire in Iran was announced by Trump, only to be subsequently violated by Israel and Iran. So failure.
Trump bombed Iran's nuke sites and the reports are that it did not do any damage. So failure again.
Talked a big game in Gaza. Attacks continue. Failure.
