Ashli isn't a patriot but she isn't a domestic terrorist either.
Upon writing that I asked Google what domestic terrorist is..Here's the response
''A domestic terrorist is an individual or group that engages in violent, criminal acts within their own country to further political, ideological, or religious goals. These acts are often intended to coerce a civilian population or influence the government. Unlike international terrorists who may be inspired by foreign organizations, domestic terrorists are typically driven by motivations originating within the country they target. ''
So using that definition she was a domestic terrorist.
Did she deserve to get shot that day?..Well she wasn't armed but that doesn't mean that the shooter didn't fear for his life or didn't think that she was a threat to what he was sworn to protect.
Given the tensions that day I'm surprised more people weren't shot.
So yeah this settlement is clear B.S. and sends the wrong message.
