What troubles me the most here is that not one of his kids has checked in with him for at least a couple of months. They relied upon the fact that his wife was considerably younger and that if anything happened to him she would reach out to them. I don't know about you all but I cannot remember a time where I didn't talk to either my mom or dad at least once per week (unless I was on a vacation out of the country).

Nothing special having your star there anymore. Was there last year and left disappointed, all i saw were junkies and shit stains all over the street. What they portray on tv is not what it is.
I looked at how far his house is from Santa Fe, and it is not far at all.

Can you imagine what it would have meant to to a poor Hispanic family for them to have been paid $100K to drive to his house every day, check on them, and help for a couple of hours with housework and the pets.

It is certainly a damn shame if she died rushing to try to save him, although it would seem at 95 that she should have been more accepting that she shouldn’t be sprinting to get his pills. And a damn shame that the dog starved to death.
And a damn shame that lady was that isolated taking care of him, when he had so many resources. She likely had 15-20 years left. Although many reports indicate that she only called her own mom (who had dementia) once a month.
I just struggle seeing him, or her for that matter, as the heroes that the media and Hollywood make them out to be.
