Is that a smart thing to do? Go after highly trained and experienced FBI and CIA agents who have the skills to uncover damaging information about you and exploit every opportunity to tarnish your reputation. Trump’s first target appears to be the over 1,000 FBI agents who investigated the January 6 insurrection. If these agents are wrongfully dismissed, they will likely sue for reinstatement and demand their jobs back. Such actions would garner significant sympathy from their colleagues, potentially turning thousands of agents into motivated individuals digging up dirt on Donald Trump and his family. The consequences could be far-reaching and deeply damaging.
