I want to hear from more than just him about this, especially since he won't give any details.

Highly unlikely he would have had any kind of chance of winning.
The liberals don't want to say why he got denied the chance to run.
Wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that he can't speak French?
well it cant be for an ethics violation because the leader of the liberal party simply does not need to be concerned with ethics
we known that for certain

abuse of taxpayers money ? - no that cant be it. the leader of the liberal party simply does not need to be concerned with financial responsibility
lying to the public ? - no that cant be it either . The ability to lie with no consensus is a highly sought after skill by the liberal party

and / or , he might just be a naive, however decent person and that is just not a good fit for the dumpster fire that is now the Liberal Party of Canada
My guess is that he got denied the chance to run. because his is not a Gerald Butts disciple.

Apparently the Liberals haven't even told him. But if they don't give a statement then assuming the worst is on the table.
If the Liberals don't give a statement, he should just run anyway.
I mean, if no one in the Liberal party is even confirming that this is true, then why are we believing it?

At this point, all we have is an announcement by him that he was told with no explanation, "you can't run", right?

Do we even have confirmation that happened at all?

Like I said, I want to hear more before I judge anything.

The Liberal Party has confirmed it. But no reason given.

As I said, it's going to be rigged. The ones in are just fluff for Carney.
IMO Carney will be the pick... nobody wants an extension of Trudeau (Freeland) and who would think Gould would be better? If they're gonna play the "girl boss" route for the feminists, they're destined for failure...Carney has the best chance to go toe to toe with Peepee....and I would vote for him had Liberas not screw the last 5 years and brought along the NDP with their shenanigans...

Thanks.
And found.
Lund has apparently pointed to the relevant section of the rules, but not said more.

Those rules:

In the event that a majority of the Reviewers determine, in their sole and unfettered
discretion, that a prospective candidate has not satisfied the mandatory criteria of this
Bylaw or has demonstrated (due to public statements, past improper conduct, a lack
of commitment to democracy, or other reputational or legal jeopardy) that a
prospective candidate is manifestly unfit for the office of Leader of the Party, they
shall advise such Leadership Contestant of their reasons, and shall consider any
response the Leadership Contestant may have in making a final determination of
eligibility hereunder.

That last clause is interesting in that by the rules they are claiming to use, Arya had to be informed of the reason.
So either he hasn't been or he is lying about it.

Supply and confidence deal.
Same kind of deal Trudeau and the NDP had.
No.
Not much point in having that discussion until you know the results of the election.
Maybe a really preliminary, "we might come and talk to you" discussion, but I can't see them agreeing to a deal in advance.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
