Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, the first woman to disgrace the position of Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, had the chance of a lifetime today. She was handed the golden opportunity to bring Americans together with a simple Christian message at the start of this new administration. But what does she do? She squanders it! Instead of delivering something remotely unifying or spiritual, she spews out a political diatribe straight out of CNN or some trashy episode of The View. What a disgrace! She's not fit to lead any church, let alone one with such significance. She's turned what should have been a moment of national unity into just another pathetic soapbox. Absolutely shameful. American people overwhelmingly rejected her ideology on November 5th. Time to move on!
