Engage and you provoke all the "You're over-reacting" stuff which gets used to normalize doing a Nazi salute.
In the information environment we have, it's very tricky.
Which is why I say to acknowledge it, don't pretend it didn't happen, but focus somewhere other than "convincing them to admit it happened".
The key takeaway from Musk doing the Fascist salute, in my opinion, is that it confirms a shift towards Fascism, i.e. the marriage of Government and large corporations, as was obvious from watching Bezos, Zuckerberg, Musk, Cook, Google all being centre at the inauguration.
It means something that the ruling class is confident enough in their power to openly show the Fascist salute. Be very afraid.
