How about gun smuggling. Fentanol Smuggling from Mexico. Also covers outgoing too, stolen cars via Montreal as an example. And yes we have a responsibility to stop illegal USA crossing along the 49th parallel if possible.

It's not stupid. There are things we want to try to stop coming in.
The US is not talking about improving the border to protect from smuggling into Canada.

The US has full responsibility for what they allow in to their country. End of story. If we help them it is because we are being partners, which the US has obviously forgotten.

This is just plain fucking stupid.

He has specifically tied tariffs not to be about trade imbalance but as a retaliation if we don't improve border security. He did it as a work around needing Congressional approval. So we call the bluff, add a billion(over X amount of years), get some needed equipment, stop some gun smuggling coming up. Fentynol shipments. A few announcements he can tout as a win.

And he gets distracted shortly thereafter. And yes we should be partners on both sides. But to not admit there is a smuggling problem, and some human trafficking, is the stupid thing to do.

It will get addressed at the lower levels calmly. He is going to be to busy with Ukraine, Gaza, and his domestic agenda to give this a bunch of time. Trump loves headlines but doesn't put in the real work. And will sign off on anything that looks pretty and he can spin to a win. Especially if some members of Congress with major exporters to Canada, or importers from us, are in their districts and are donors. He needs every vote.

Take some Tums. This isn't that serious.

The irony here is that when the Liberals violated the Canadian Charter of Rights...these same people crying treason were very silent then.

Now they cry treason over some jokes aimed at trolling Trudeau. Lol!
no... the irony here is that you continually champion the Charter of Rights, which was the hallmark of Pierre Trudeau's legacy....... you must truly admire PET! Good for you, Skooby Doo!

No I actually know when someone is joking and I don't get triggered as easily as you do.

Trump is trolling Trudeau because Trudeau is an idiot. It's that simple.
Trump is a simpleton, alright....and I guess he didn't notice that no one is laughing at his "joke", so he keeps repeating it like a parrot on meth....still not funny.

Trudeau and Trump are thousands of yikes more intelligent and successful than anyone on this board and anyone that anyone on this board knows. Trumps supporters are largely unintelligent and the non Trump supporters are appaled at how they get gaslight and fleeced by him. I don't think Trudeau is a fresh leader but at least he had the balls to stand up to Trump and I don't belive turbin guy or angry Frenchman have balls like that. It's concerning that Trudeau is afraid to call out Trump as the useless piece of shit he is because he doesn't want to seem as an extremist like our neighbors to the south and if any criticism is met with tariffs it will seem like trudeaus fault

WTF does Pierre Trudeau have to do with the current federal government violating the charter?

You may think he's an asshole but don't fool yourself into thinking he's stupid.

Trudeau had "the balls" to make fun of Trump behind his back the last time he was in office.
Karma's a bitch.

Gretzky,

If you are reading this. Make a "I am Canadian" commercial and send it to Trump.

Gretzky actually holds dual citizenship and became a US citizen around the late 80's/early 90's. He has lived in the US longer than he had lived in Canada.
