Sure EVs existed 100 years ago...but no one for 100 years advocated that this will be the future of transportation.
- credit for boosters? LoL that was a game changer stop being dismissive...everybody thought of that but can't execute it the way he did.
- How is the Boring company a failed endeavour and still pretty much doing projects?
-I don't know much about co-founding paypal but he played a big rol on it's success...
Musk, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark don't mirror each others contribution to technology.
EVs: There were plenty of EVs before Tesla and Tesla itself was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.
That said Teslas are badly constructed vehicles and are still unaffordable.
Boosters: I already gave credit for boosters so not sure where I was being dismissive. But the concept of reusable boosters isn't new. NASA recovered their boosters by parachuting them into the sea.
Boring Company: What projects are they doing?
They dug 2.4 miles of operational tunnels in 7 years lol and have now shelved that.
They are a failed endeavour.
Paypal - Its true he did not co-found it. He did not play a role in its success either. Infact it became successful after he was ousted.
He founded X.com. But investors replaced him with Intuit CEO Bill Harris.
X then merged with Confinity and the merger was called Paypal. Musk returned as CEO, but was ousted him because of his lack of knowledge of technology (yeah he is no engineer like he calls himself), and lack of a business model. He was replaced by Peter Thiel.
It was eventually bought out by eBay.
