It will be interesting to see who the next owner will be.

Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav is wrestling with trying to be the cost-conscious executive or hobnobbing with liberal Hollywood players.
Ok Didn't know, I think they got rid of Jim Acosta since the election, I didn't see him around.

Forget Trump. Do you think the Ukraine war should be brought to an end soon? I think it's clear it's currently a stagnate, grinding war that now favors Russia. The U.S. and Western European powers are not going to let the Ukrainians lob long-range missiles deep into Russia.

With that in mind, I would advise the Biden Administration to start negotiating a cease fire and peace settlement. There's no reason they can't make overtures between now and January. I think they should have been pushing for this all year.
I am wondering if Trump has pulled a 1980 Reagan hostage crisis move with either or Putin and Bibi.

I am helping Juan out, guess you can't see the difference. It explains how a felon can con you into believing anything at all.

It doesn't matter if a peace deal is early in 2025 or later, you know people on the Left will say it was prearranged with Putin and/or Bibi. As I said earlier, the Biden Administration should have been working on a cease fire and peace agreement in the Ukraine all year.

And now the election is over, maybe we can ask and discuss questions like grown-ups instead of squabbling adolescents. Who do you suppose is making decisions as they relate to the Ukraine? It is unclear to me.

I think he's still on CNN. I don't know when exactly.

Maybe he can go back to being CNN's White House Correspondent where he can quibble with every last word of President Trump. Some of you would find that just dandy, but remember President Biden rarely had open press conferences.

Never convicted of rape...Stop lying!
Adjudicated rape, with a judge ruling that it is legally and technically correct to call him a rapist.
Stop lying yourself.

You guys are so weird, cheering on revenge by a born rich con man who is senile, an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon.
Why do you think a felon will give you revenge?

So what do you see for peace in the Ukraine and Gaza?

These thoughts you vaguely allude to are important to question. Do you think anyone working for a peace deal is going to be able to get the Russians and Ukrainians on friendlier terms while Putin is alive? Do you think Gazans will give up on their dream of destroying Israel.

Peace settlement first, then maybe some kind of economic rapprochement in both situations. In the case of Gaza, I'm definitely not talking about channeling aid through Hamas. Sometimes animosity and conflict dissipates with the passage of time, but the wounds in these regions will take a long time to heal.
To be honest, I do not know what the solution is. Russia has bleed to much to just walk away, same with Ukraine. They want to defend their nation from invaders. Trump and Vance have already talked about cutting funding and arms shipments to Ukraine, so they likely won't be able to sustain combat operations as effectively. I'm not sure what the best course of action is, but I cannot see Ukraine accepting peace with Russia if it involves losing territory (well, maybe Crimea can go).

As for Israel/Gaza....Better minds than mine have been working on that for a loooooong time. I don't think Trump is going to help cool things down, I mean there is a good argument that him moving the US embassy to Jerusalem was a big deal for the Palestinians. This is a much harder place to find lasting peace...There is sooooo much hatred between the two sides, they've hated each other for generations, they have different religions. From Trump's previous actions, he'd continue to allow Israel to pound Gaza (and other places), which will eventually result in a short "peace" where the Palestinians regroup and rearm....and likely strike back like they did on October 7...

you should worry about how you present yourself

an uncompromising ideologue who cant think for yourself is not a flattering profile
Justin Trudeau has made a god awful mess and he is both stupid and corrupt. This is non-controversial or deniable when stacked against the facts
yet you will defend him right up to the fast approaching end or you constantly deflect for the same reason
an uncompromising ideologue does not have any credibility
its not a pretty picture

btw
I do not present myself as an intellectual
I just call them as i see them.
The fact I am right far more often than wrong and that bothers you, well, ......... that is your problem (one of many problems).
OK buddy. I'm not the one who spews right wing bull shit without pause of a second thought. And, please tell me how I defend Trudeau to my last breath? I have slammed him for his stupidity. Yet, I am able to recognize some of the good things he's done. I'm not so ideologically blinded by that like you. I hated Harper, but I can still praise him where he did good things (like helping guide Canada through the 2007 financial crisis). So, keep swinging and missing. It is amusing.

Prophesizing?
He did a lot when he was in office before and has a better team around him now with full control of the house and senate so sabotaging him like last time won't work.
Let him govern. Don't worry about how he looks or speaks.
OK....what did he do? Can you tell me three things he helped pass through congress? I can only think of his tax cut bill....the one that is now seeing middle class people paying more, while the rich still get a break....

It is not giving Trump the benefit of doubt. People
already get used to the BS spewed by politicians. Many
people who voted Trump don't find him likeable. I am sure
more than a few of those working with him find him a
bizarre character.

Seriously do you really believe those who voted Trump
would be upset if it turns out he is unable to end the
war in Ukraine within 24 hours of inauguartion? I think
his supporters will be satisfied by Trump sending Zelensky
back to Europe in his next visit empty-handed.
No, I don't think they would be upset, because they are in a cult. They do not criticize him for the stupid shit he says, nor believe anything that is bad about him. They always find excuses. Just like you. "Oh, yeah, many who voted for him don't like him and don't expect him to do what he says..."

you do not get
the American voters were faced with two bad choices
Trump - bad personality (means -spirited, nasty, verdictive)
Harris- a blithering idiot with really bad policy

Bad personality you can ignore
Bad policy (particularly inflation driving money printing) impacts peoples lives directly

The us voter experienced the bad policy for several years and did not want a repeat

its time to wake up to reality, your fail ideology does not work, has been reject in the US and will be reject in Canada (the sooner the better)
For someone who says I am rigid in my ideology or whatever bullshit you spew, you constantly regurgitate right-wing bull shit. Harris is a blithering idiot with bad policies, yet Trump is only mean spirtited and I assume you mean vindictive.

You want to slam Harris but ignore Trump's record as President. His stupid policies helped lead the US to inflation during Covid. He caused the national debt to balloon to levels no Democrat has even come close to matching (well, in peace-time). If he enacts his policies as he said it on the campaign trail, prices are going to skyrocket due to the lack of cheap labour to pick fruit/vegetables or work construction.

You are so blinded by your ideology that Harris has to be an idiot, despite the fact that she was a successful lawyer and politician before this race. The right needs to stomp down on uppity women who don't know their place, and you sure as fuck toe that line. It is amazing to me that you think Trump is not a blithering idiot, despite all the evidence showing that. He has more business failures than any "successful" businessman. If he put his inheritence from his dad into an indexed fund, he would've been a billionaire and not had to lie about it for so many years.

And, to be frank, the GOP has a long history of shitting the economic bed and requiring the Democrats to come in and clean up their mess. On a state level, the vast majority of the poorest and least educated states are run by the GOP. Is that by design? The lowest economic activity also happens to be in these poor states, which also get so much federal money....

So...I think I can safely say that your ideology, while victorious due to populism, is the one that has a long history of driving the US economy and its people into a fucking ditch.

Will history repeat itself? Probably in four years....
