I've said it before, I will say it again.

Harris was a terrible choice for the Democratic nomination.

She was a lousy VP who never impressed and accomplished nothing. She ran for the nomination in 2020 to great fanfare and yet dropped out before a single primary due to being disorganized and not having a prayer to win. She was so bad as VP that there was very serious talk a year or so ago about Biden dumping her in favour of a competent VP.

She has very little gravitas going for her and if Biden announced a year ago that he wasn't going to run for a second term, never in a million years would she have won the democratic nomination.

And yet here she is.

I truly thought when Biden quit that the Dems would have an open convention like the good old days. But instead it just seemed like it was blasphemy to even consider that someone other than Harris should have got the nomination. Most telling was that neither Biden nor especially Obama threw their support behind her in a timely fashion. Why the wait?

Bottom line, she is the wrong choice. The Dems should be destroying Trump, but instead, they are faltering. Kamala is the affirmative action candidate and a lot of voters, democrats or not aren't on side with that. When Biden was running and couldnt string 2 sentences together the talk was that if the Dems ran a candidate other than Biden, that candidate would easily destroy Trump. At the time, i wholeheartedly agreed with that notion, but never did i figure that Harris would be that candidate. The democrats should be killing Trump right now, instead Kamala is 4 points behind where Hillary was at this point.

And frankly I blame Biden for for being so vain and not dropping out of the run for 2024 in time to allow a proper primary to democratically pick a strong nominee. And as far as that goes, if you want to look at it with a wide angle lens, Obama blew it in 2016 when he told Biden that he was going to endorse Hillary Clinton and not him. Biden should have been the democratic nominee in 2016, not the corrupt and unlikeable Hillary Clinton. Biden was far more competent than Hillary and he would have defeated Trump in 2016. Instead, Obama told Biden that the decision was made by the powers that be (the DNC) that Hillary was the chosen one and he, Biden, needed to step aside. And the result was Trump and we all know how that worked out.

And now, just like Hillary, we have the Democratic powers that be putting Harris on the ticket. And just like Hillary, she's going to lose to Trump. It blows my mind how fucking stupid the DNC is. And now we are going to have to endure 4 more years of an emboldened maniac.

Harris has demonstrated to voters she is no presidential
material by running a no substance campaign.

The Democrats grossly underestimated voters' intelligence
when pulling off the coup to force Biden to withdraw from the
election. Perhaps in their mind Trump is so horrible a choice of
the next president to everyone outside the MAGA crowd anyone
in the party like the VP who is 20 years younger and mentally sharp
would be a sure win. Moreover Harris while nowhere near the age
of Obama and Bill Clinton when they were presidential candidates
to be considered young does come across as more appealing to
young voters than Biden. Harris's stance on such issues as
abortion rights and climate change are clearly more outspoken
than Biden. It does seem reasonable to expect Harris would
not only secure votes from loyal supporters of Biden
but also capture votes from the more progressive or even the radical.

Through the campaign Harris has shown the sides to her
that make her come across as less presidential than the
unremarkable VP she has been. In the mind of her supporters
Kamala in spite of her shortcoming couldn't be worse than Trump
perhaps. What they might have overlooked is that people have
long gotten used to Trump. Many of those who are going to
vote Trump know what a jerk he could be. Performance of Kamala
in the campaign on the other hand has been a revelation.

Imagine having a billion dollar war chest and are still sinking, celebrity endorsements and all. The bottom line is it's a job she's just not qualified for and I sure hope America doesn't have to find that out the hard way.

I doubt Trump can last for more than 1 year as the reelected
president. I think the Republicans will find a way to force him
to quit. If Trump wins prepare to endure Vance.

So you are doing everything you can to get her elected and make Trump lose, since you don't want "4 more years of an emboldened maniac", right?
I'm disappointed that the Democrats just annointed Kamala as the nominee. She is a very weak candidate. As absurd as this may sound, I was hoping for an open convention and somehow Al Franken to rise from the ashes and win the nomination.

Instead, the DNC somehow managed to transfer all of Biden's votes to Harris. I can't fathom how that is legitimate. No-one ever voted for Kamala Harris and yet she literally walks into to nomination. She was anointed by the DNC due to her being a her and being a visible minority. I don't have faith in her abilities and we could conceivably find ourselves in a war with China and Russia and I don't think she's up to the challenge.

But compared to Trump, well at least she's sane. And yes, I know that's setting the bar pretty low.

The DNC put Hillary in the big chair in 2016 and it was a disaster and now they are repeating the same stupidity with Kamala Harris. The DNC figures that they are the Pope.

So you're voting for her, right?

I mean, you keep saying she's better than Trump.

If he's elected he'll never quit. That's not his personality. He has to be top dog no matter how ridiculous.
He'll learn that he can send goons out to break federal law then pardon them. Then on last day maybe step down with deal JD pardons him.
But more likely if he's prez and still alive he'll use his justification of "being robbed" in 2020 to not leave office until he dies.

I think the idea that Vance is there to oust him has a lot of appeal, but I agree Trump won't want to just go and I don't think they will have enough Cabinet people in their pocket to 25th amendment him.

That said, Trump doesn't want to govern, so Vance and Thiel and Musk will probably be able to run things without worrying about Trump too much.
Trump will want to use his goons and punish his enemies and wet his beak, but as long as he gets that stuff, why would he care about anything else?

Her campaign absorbed Bidens funds and expenditures, to date she has raised $8,500.00 short of $1.5 billion.
To date they have spent, including Bidens funds, $1.3 billion.

He can claim Presidential immunity if the crimes he commits are under the constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of Presidential power entitles a former President to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts .

What a bunch of racists and sexists. It's a double whammy.

As noted above, she is an "affirmative action" candidate. So? I thought Democrats were all for affirmative action. It's the evil Repuglicans who oppose it.

So now they've got their affirmative action candidate. She was picked for VP because she is a woman of colour. What did they think was going to happen?

When your qualifications are your race and gender, not your policies, or the ability to articulate those policies, you get a weak candidate.

Be that as it may, do you support affirmative action for women and POC? If you do, Kamala is for you. Good luck.

Trump was and still isn't he furthest thing from presidential material there ever was. So there is that
And yet he served a full term as president 🤷‍♂️ Do you ever say anything smart? Clearly that's a rhetorical question
