The entire interview was posted on YouTube shortly after it was finished. There were 3 million YouTube views and counting. I'm sure the Fox News audience drew a lot of infrequent viewers during that period. There are a lot of news junkies who just surf back and forth between Fox, CNN and MSNBC. Then there are all the media and internet talking heads giving their audiences play-by-play or rather edit-by-edit. (You know my opinion is that they tell us how to think.)But, I will say this: How many Fox viewers did this persuade to vote for her? I mean, it is possible that several were swayed. But, I think the average Fox viewer is a MAGA cultist, and this was just an opportunity for them to hate watch her.
I think part of the reason it garnered so much attention is that to date Harris has been coy about giving interviews. I'm not sure a Trump interview would get as much attention unless he went on with Rachel Maddow.
I said a few days back it's fair that candidates say what they want, reveal what they want and appear where they want. I don't think Trump has anything more to say. Harris still had to define herself a bit more.
Just because Harris has plateaued and wants to get out there in the media more doesn't mean Trump has to match her exposure. I'll be curious if she does Rogan and whether Trump follows suit.
