It's not the fact the has or hasn't put out on. It's the fact she has reversed course on so many previous ones, sometimes within a day when requestioned on them.

So much like Trump, can we trust what she says in the face of pressure after the fact?
This is a good point. She also hasn’t spoken about any policies either like Rich mentioned. I get what she’s done in the past but is it fair to extrapolate that or do we take her at her word today. There is no clear vision from her that I’ve seen unless someone can list out her policies.

forget Trump lying and all that stuff. Let’s say he’s the worst candidate ever. Has any of the other candidates in the past not articulated their vision through a televised interview this close to Election Day? Should we just guess what her stances are to best fit our individual needs and hope everyone’s wishes come true?

The thing is, Trump has said he will build a wall - and he did....Trump's platform is basically anti illegal immigration as the main focus and we all know he will go to town on illegal immigrants or if we don't want to "offend" the liberals...."undocumented immigrants"...Kamala can't say for shit what she's going to do about it why? because it was part of her task while the current VP...it's a conundrum... Imagine a plumber who has leak problems around her own house that's been going on for 3 years....and then she'll tell you she fixes leaks... 😂 😂

His wall has already fallen down and he never got Mexico to pay for it as he said he would.
Because his successor didn't was vindictive and incoherent...it wasn't Trumps fault the wall is ineffective....if you have a border Czar that don't work...LoL...yyou're being ignorant again...don't do that...

Trump's 4 years were an absolute shit show. A complete disaster.

Never build the wall. And his main advisor went to jail because he stole the money that was collected for the wall.

All US allies got pissed about Trump ass hole greedy attitude.

He cost 30 billion, which needed to be given to farmers because of Trump's tariff.

He gave a voice to right-wing extremists, and divided the country like never before.

Added 1 trillion debt by giving big tax cuts only to the richest.

We never saw healthcare and infrastructure plan... Always coming in 2 weeks.

Fired all his cabinet at least once (none of them endorse Trump now).

A green plant would have done less damage then Trump so yes Harris can definitely run the country. So much better then fucking Trump.

You think she's not fit to be president because she hasn't done an interview?
All we can do is compare her to past normal presidents (not Trump) and all of them would have done them by now. In the past her unscripted interviews have not gone well and she’s gotten flak for them and a lot of ridicule from both sides but mostly the right.

If I was in her situation, it would make me even more nervous I’m going to mis-speak and it would get in my head. It’s totally normal for anyone to feel this way. But she clearly has the confidence. We see that in her speeches.

If I were to bet, I would say unscripted interviews give her anxiety. Is this acceptable for a president to have this. I don’t know.

all about negatives of Trump but no positives on Kamala. This is getting concerning.

Kamala vs Hailey, Hailey would win
Kamala vs Vivek, Vivek would win
Kamala vs Ronny D, it would be a competitive race

Trump won in 2016 because he was not Hillary, Biden won 2020 because he was not Trump, Kamala will probably win 2024 because she is not Trump.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on Vivek. Maga would stay home and not vote at all. There is no way they would vote for a brown guy, impossible. Vivek should have remained in the middle left as he was and under the Dem umbrella he would have stood a chance for one day to run and win the presidency.

Is she fit to be president? She's been an Attorney General for 6 years, a Senator for 4 years and a VP for almost 4 years.

I'd say it's a bit insulting to question if she is fit with the resume she has.
Again, she has a better resume than Obama. But Hillary had one almost as good as Kamala, but Kamala is better.

At the end of the day though, she's running against Trump. Trump a certified con artist, fraudster, serial sexual abuser, cheater, liar, who stole nuclear secrets, is compromised by Putin, takes bribes, owes half a billion dollars, ran one of the most corrupt administration's in history, a multi time convicted felon, who is surrounded by convicted felons, who has stated he plans to end the constitution and be a dictator, who has no idea how government works, plans on turning DOJ into his tool for persecution, and tried to overturn an election by violent means. And, when he faced a challenge like covid - first lied about it, thrn believed in magical thinking, and fucked up royally. A man who has never taken responsibility, who pisses on the military (eg John McCain, gold star families, wives of killed soldiers, calls them suckers). A man who kowtows to dictators, shits on allies, etc.

Eddie asks a reasonable question.
Her "resume" is better than Obama's. They were each senator for only a few years, but she has AG experience in a state larger in population than Canada or Australia. And, she's been VP for almost 4 years so she has had an opportunity to watch how it works up close.
Clinton had more executive experience as a Governor. A bit more than GWB. But GWB was Gov of a much bigger state. And a border state.
In contrast, GHWB had congressional and executive experience (head of cia, UN ambassador, plus 8 years VP experience.
Reagan was a 2 term Governor of California.
Trump ran a small private company. (It was believed to be a lot bigger when he was elected, we've since learned it was like 25 people).
Being president is not a one person job. It's an administration. I look to how they make decisions, and who they surround themselves with. Then the policies.
Kamala had a rough start as VP. Was effective in her previous gigs. She seems to have learned from her previous experiences. She seems pretty disciplined so far. She has been involved in an effective presidency. (Yes, look at numbers, don't listen to pundits. GDP, unemployment, stock market all better, crime lowest in 50 years. USA had best inflation response in developed world and its now down to its 2%ish acceptable rate. Border under control now after a rough couple of years and GOP sabotaging their own plan. Look at the bi-partisan bills Biden got done despite fervent opposition).
Thus, being part of this administration should help her if she's elected. She's had access to good people who know what they're doing and know how government works. And, an admin with almost no scandals (like Obama. Trump like Nixon with indictments and convictions everywhere. Zero for Obama, same with Biden).
I think Peggy Noonan (conservative speechwriter for Reagan/Bush) said it best - although Harris' rallies have this Obama quality, the difference is Obama created a movement, whereas Harris was created by a movement. (Or something like that).
But, until you see them in the gig w 100% responsibility, you don't know.
I think we are inflating the carry-over experience of her AG, Senate, and VP roles. Her AG reviews were mixed, nothing to brag home about. She did not have significant visibility in the senate. A VP role is traditionally more symbolic and less directly involved in decision-making than that of the president. Therefore, it might not fully prepare someone for the unique pressures and responsibilities of being the commander-in-chief.

The claim that Harris “seems to have learned from her previous experiences” and is “disciplined” is subjective and not universally agreed upon. Critics argue that she has struggled with messaging and public perception, which are crucial aspects of presidential leadership. Her approval ratings have also been lower than those of some previous vice presidents, indicating that not all voters perceive her as effective or disciplined.

The distinction made by Peggy Noonan between Obama creating a movement and Harris being created by one can be interpreted as suggesting that Harris lacks the same level of grassroots support and political innovation that characterized Obama’s rise. This could be seen as a weakness, indicating that her political identity may be more dependent on external forces rather than her own leadership.

I appreciate your response and your post provides some evidence (but nothing concrete) that she may be able to take on the job. As opposed to most that continue to focus on just bashing Trump. I still see most of these as just hope that she will be able to do the job. An effective administration will help but we know nothing about this either. I don't know what her vision is or her policies. I don't think any of us do.
