Phil, watch it and listen carefully

It's not good news, not at all. She will just get another bounce once the VP is announced and OH GOD, if Trump grows a pair and takes on the challenge of facing her face to face, ooooooh, it's over. One of us will be crying but I don't believe it will be me!! At least not til 2025
I don't cry if Trump loses, bro.
You on the other hand will be crying in your soup if Trump wins

You can't possibly believe this?
Contrary to what the left thinks, the MAGA movement is not extremist. They only think its extremist because they've moved hard left. For the life of me I cannot understand what's extremist about supporting a representative government that upholds the U.S. Constitution (freedom of speech, religion, due process and the right to bear arms) and secures the border with Mexico.
Freedom to send a beer can to a tranny, freedom of sports players to kneel during the anthem, freedom of women to choose if they want to abort a pregnancy, freedom to call a found in court rapist by name, freedom to give equal rights to homosexuals and other deviants ? Is that the freedom you believe in ?

But wouldn’t it be reasonable to be upset if a new leader of the free world was a racist rapist with 34 felonies who tried to overthrow the United States government?

Pretty much.

I think the Republicans are favored to win the Senate. That by definition means no big spending blowouts if Harris wins. I have no issue if the 2017 tax cuts expire. It's all about pragmatism.

There's some unusual things on your freedom list. I'm sorry but freedom also means freedom to react to things that one finds being pushed in their face. You're demanding that people think like you and agree with you. That's not exactly freedom.

Perhaps a Kamala government can buy up cans of Bud Light. Listening to you, perhaps there should be absolutely no statute of limitations for criminal cases of rape. Hell, Brett Kavenaugh was a teenage rapist.

I'm glad we can call bullshit on your worldview.

Wouldn't it be reasonable to believe that tens of millions of Americans might know something about how their politics, media and courts work?
Don't you have a bit of skepticism.

By the way, 34 felonies was always a politicization of one misclassified transaction that seems to get sillier the more it is repeated.

Wow imagine if he fucked a porn star while his wife was pregnant and wrote it off ad a legal expense
I'm curious. Do you know where this should have been classified as an expense? Honest question.

There's no problem as far as the IRS is concerned so tax avoidance is not an issue.

You've clearly heard a lot of people including some liberals splash reality on a VP pick. It is unlikely to give Kamala a bounce. Shapiro who appears to be the favorite might tip a close Pennsylvania race, but brings risks to other states. Nate Silver has written extensively on the limited impact of VP picks.

I feel like I am bursting your bubble, but the U.S. election doesn't really get started until after the conventions. What happened was a tanking Democratic campaign was rescued with a last minute substitution. It's kind of novel.

Kamala's strategy will be try to run a campaign that only alludes to policy and of course attack Trump. The progressives got her back. That's fine. However, the Trump campaign will be reminding the electorate of her positions.

I think there is a lot of hope being projected on to Kamala. That's good, but people are going to get reacquainted with her. The tough part of the campaign won't come until after the convention.
I'm just talking about that fast a move in the favorable/unfavorable.
Those usually don't move that fast.

Over the campaign they will adjust, but I wouldn't expect to see it move like that again.

Something doesn't seem substantive. It seems more like her favorability benefited from a snapback from throwing Biden off the ticket.

While obviously a big favorable move is better than not, I get the vibe that moderate and independent voters are holding their nose to some degree to vote for whoever Biden, Harris or Trump. Look at it this way, I don't think Harris' favorability would have gone up if she had started in a Democratic primary and had to compete against other prominent Democrats. She wouldn't even be the nominee.

Does that make sense? She's benefiting from conditional favorables that aren't deep. It could certainly win her the election though.

is that a radical proposition? That has been a law in Canada for a long time and it seems to work well

There was one BP noted that had her up by +11 in Michigan.
That's not a favorability poll, which is what we are talking about here.

It's going to be a close race. Once again about 600,000 voters deciding it. That's where it will end up in November barring a serious surprise along the way.
Yes.
That's baked into the very broken US electoral system.
One day, polarization may go down enough for a larger split in the popular vote, but even then the massive defects in the electoral college system will remain.

Even then Cripes an Assassination attempt is already "old news". Who can really predict shit?
I will admit that the assassination attempt already being old news is surprising to me.

I have no idea how it works and doesn't work relative to he said/she said cases. These cases are challenging when prosecuted/tried even with recent memory.

Remember the TERB brethren overwhelming voted that a statute of limitation on the order of 10 years or less was appropriate. Me thinks you want to believe no statute of limitations works well and your opinion is your prerogative.
