At least we're #1 at something......LOL
It took me 3 hours to get through Liberty Village last sunday
I couldve walked faster, but once you're stuck in that traffic you cant turn back anymore.
Great job by Olivia CommuChow

Why?

Why drive?

Why drive down there?

Why drive down there, to get to what.

Why drive down there, to get to what, on what day?

Why drive down there, to get to what, on what day and time of day?

Why is it, whenever I am two-wheeling it around in the Toronto core and environs are there so many, many, many cars with just 1 or if lucky 2 people inside causing traffic congestion, gridlock and mayhem?

Why do so many fuckers have to drive right to within a fuckin millimeter of their ultimate destination?

La la land
This idea of reducing lanes on the road or restrictions is a world wide epidemic proportions that is happening. The illuminate is trying to control us from Driving and to use other method of transports.

I have traveled the world and have seen it.

These idiots ( Illuminate) have never walked the winter, rain, and harsh weather of Canada. And people here have a low standard or lack of driving skills that a third world person has way better than anyone here.

People come into Toronto for work purposes. Most of us dread it now and only do it when we must.

While you're two wheeling around, we are trying to get reasonably close, within a few blocks now at best, to park and go in to complete the work we were scheduled for.

Unlike 20 years ago where it was fun to stay in town when the work was done, go out perhaps for dinner and then make the drive home - we know the 2-3 hour drive that awaits us, motivating us to get going and get the fuck out.

Liberty Village is like a roach motel. You can drive in but you can't get out.
Lakeshore was closed for the Indy. That funneled traffic towards Liberty Village at Strachan.
That stretch of King Street has massive construction so driving along Liberty Street
any turns lead to dead ends.
Which made it one entry and one exit, Strachan and Dufferin, and that's it.
Once the CNE opens forget about it.

Bike was my primary mode of transportation before I could drive. In the summer I rode 100 km a day on average on bike. I did winter biking seriously one year. Never again. On an ideal day no snow, streets plowed its fine. But if you have to get someone where and snow falls the roads become a death trap. If your on a pleasure ride no problem, you wait or find other transport. But for daily transport you cant put in a 2 hour to 5 hour buffer to make sure you get to x on time. Bike lanes, from a bike advocate point of view as they are are insane.
I do think that the idea of having summer lanes reserved for bikes on certain days in summer, using the same system we use use to change the direction of road traffic on some roads in Toronto. Light traffic, or good weather, or weekend by all means open up the bike lanes. Even heavy traffic if there is enough bikes on the road (there is handful anywhere currently)

Thus we need close to zero immigration, which at least will band aid the problem. Them ship the immigrants we have to out of the city to the Yukon via incentive or force. It will take 50 years to catch up with the population we have now.

Um....She's only been the mayor for a few months...These are long-standing issues that pre-date her. Well, some might go back to when she was on council.

But....damn, traffic is god awful. But, what is the solution?

GTFO the GTA or live with it. Nothing ever improves, not anymore. Like the flooding last week, live in a concrete canyon....

LOL. Well, 95% of the time it rains, Toronto's infrastructure works as planned. But, the question for these big storms....is it outdated infrastructure or just severe weather (maybe caused by climate change...)?

Nah the government should ship you out to the Yukon. That would make Ontario a better place to live.

We built TORONTO to survive a Huricane after Hazel. The flood plains and green spaces where converted to condos, this is a problem caused by higher flooding, but we would have been fine it where not for excess development. The DVP for example with its swamp is key in flood control. And in fact, the DVP is designed to get flooded, to save the rest of the city it necessary.

Sure give me a good incentive package its hard to justify living in Toronto except for duty reason at this point.

Exactly - how the fuck is this her fault? Some people just love to throw blame around.
