Um, you do know under Biden crime stats are down right??? Wait, of course, you do not, how silly of me.
Wouldn't higher fentanyl deaths suggest criminal smuggling?

I know one of your cohorts in crime (get the pun) flippantly said fentanyl deaths in the U.S. basically weren't a big deal relative to Canada. This of course is not true.
Wyatt, you started it by replying to me when I was replying to Richtie regarding crime stats. SIR, I suggest you stay within the loop of the convo and not try to spin and deflect to save your boy Trumpy.

I don't know why you are directing all your crime stats you towards me. I was discussing the fentanyl problem relative to border smuggling.

It would be greatly appreciated if you wouldn't vomit your research on me. Thanks in advance. I'm sure you spent a lot of time on it.
Didn't take me any time. A total of 2 minutes. Try it now and then.

Google CRIME STATS UNDER BIDEN and BOOM...

Trump is your uncle!

Who is president has very little bearing on my life. He had pretty much no impact from 2016-2020. And I'd say little to no from 2024-2028 if he wins again.

I'm not as emotionally involved as you are. If Trump wins we all know you will lose your mind.
If a landlord from a building next to mine was pissing and spitting on his tenants out of his window it wouldn’t really have a direct impact on me.
But I would still be uncomfortable. It just depends on a person I guess. When criminals are in charge anywhere near me I am concerned.

There are a few issues with your stories (lies). 1st of all the Fed controls interests rates and inflation not the president. 2nd if you are going to blame inflation on government spending than inflation remains squarely on the Trump administration who spent 8.2 trillion in long term debt while Biden had programs to save money. 3rd Biden handled inflation better than any other lead in the free world if you still want to blame him. 4th Biden allowed more drilling than Trump. Don't believe fox - they lie to you
Now I know why you have this mistaken belief that Trump added more debt than Biden. I'm not sure you understand debt is debt. The 8.2 trillion in long-term debt figure is made up mostly of the Fed's discretion to refinance some short-term debt by rolling it into to long-term debt. So this was a financing decision. It had nothing to do with additional debt brought on by fiscal deficits. Stripping away the COVID noise during 2020-21, this year and last are on pace to be the second highest deficit years relative to GDP since the World War II deficits. 2024 is almost 7% of GDP. (The 2009-2011 budget deficits during the Great Recession were a bit higher.)

Generally, it is true the Fed controls inflation. The exception would be when spending runs hard for five straight years and the Fed has to choose between continuing to accommodate (money printing) the ensuing large deficits causing inflation or risk a likely recession by allowing rates to rise. That's where we are at now.

Point being I have zero influence on the outcome. So in the main it becomes an interesting exercise in prediction and nothing more. Becoming emotional over things like this is quite frankly immature. And I continue to stand by my assertion that it was just as likely had Trump not won the nomination but the GOP candidate did its the worst domestic shit still happens. McConnell was responsible for that. And internationally I see worse war involving Syria.

So some shit the same, other shit different but bad. And considering Hillary lost to Trump that was the likely outcome.

Would you still be as emotional over a Bush 3?

When members get overly angry and think they are in a transcending fight they lash out at other members. I routinely get targeted for this wrath. Since I personally like to think we are all in a conversation, I don't think it's unreasonable to call on members who might disagree with me to respond to my posts and only the words in my posts. It would be very hard and impractical for me to defend everyone else's exact words from every member such as yourself.

I understand this is not an unusual action from someone. This is also not an unusual reaction from me. I have challenged Frank, Jalimon and maybe one or two others to respond to the pertinent person as opposed to laying out their arguments to me. That would seem the proper way to have a conversation.

So simply put, don't appoint me Captain of some kind of version of a team that you believe is a challenge to your team.

You jumped into a convo about crime stats and tried to blur the line with the fentanyl crapola. Since I'm a fair man and never an angry man, I'm going to play along and answer your question in the spirit of fair play

Did you know the flow commenced in 2014 and was in flowing nicely in 2019. THAT FUCKING BIDEN, oh wait, he wasn't President, THAT FUCKIN KAMALA, oh wait, she wasn't VP. hmmmm

This is a very interesting article you should read

He did nothing of significance one way or the other the first time he had a go of it. Why would this time be any different?

I mean...Well you know if you put aside the weaponizing of the justice system against him and all. What would motivate him to strike back.

He didn't, I really just enjoyed pointing out his flaws and watching you cheerleaders shaking your mom poms in useless anger. You just can't help yourself. And take this far too seriously.

Joe actually was good on some things. Anti trust, better than before on unions. But he was also bad in his history. And in the end, well, you know how he declined. That needed to be said. You, and others refused to acknowledge that. Just like him.

He isn't evil. He is a right of centre Democrat Neo-Liberal. And that does make him flawed and out of touch with voters.

Is that really true or is that just a new Kamala Harris soundbyte?

Kamala was kind of a convenient distraction set up by the Biden Administration. Since her involvement in immigration began in 2021, I don't recall any big overtures to compromise with Republicans back then. Again, it's not her fault but she's kind of stuck with the Biden record.
Earpy, you remember how the admin tried to stop the asylum seekers and put a cap on the daily totals last year and the GOP deliberately fucked it up, so they could whine and bullshit about "how the administration hadn't done anything"??

I'm pretty sure you remember every detail of the sordid, self-serving story.

No doubt...See how I admit it.

The overturning of the Rowe vs Wade is going to haunt them.

Especially with Harris at the helm.
I'm with ya on that.

I'm personally not much with the State's should decide b.s. on any matter.

Politically, the whole thing will dissipate as voter referendums in states codify the law and mifepristone is used more. I've seen billboards for the drug in Red States.

As far as November 2024, it will have an impact. I think the magnitude is hard to measure. The people I know who scream the loudest about Dodd are never going to vote Republican under any circumstances.

RETREAT?

This has always been my position including here on TERB. My views aren't 100% lockstep with Trump and the Republicans. That's why I always say tell me what you think of the policy. Don't tell me about Repugs, PeePee and orange hair.

I used to think of myself as a liberal on social issues, but the Democratic party pushed so hard on several issues that I am no longer certain of that status.
