This is the real reason why Trump most likely will win.
Its got nothing to do with Kamala being black or being a woman.
At the end of the day people vote with their wallets.
If the US economy was doing great Kamala would be a shoe-in

I wonder if enough people are dumb enough to believe that Trump would make it one cent better
And what has Biden done last 4 years to make things better??

Ya, it's fuckin over for the Democrats. They (not even the independents in swing States) aren't electing a female black woman as president.
I'm not sure Black men will strongly support Kamala Harris as they supported Biden in 2016.

I think the progressives here are overselling this point as it has been demonstrated that a black man received the most votes twice and a woman received the most votes once.

If I remember correctly, Kamala ran for President but didn't even make it as far as the Iowa primaries. Just because some Democratic leaders have come down from the mountain and declared she's the one, doesn't mean a whole lot to most people.

BREAKING: Trump writes, “My debate with Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the history of the United States, was slated to be broadcast on Fake News ABC, the home of George Slopadopolus, sometime in September. Now that Joe has, not surprisingly, has quit the race, I think the Debate, with whomever the Radical Left Democrats choose, should be held on FoxNews, rather than very biased ABC. Thank you! DJT”
Wow.
He chickened out of the debate THAT fast?

I figured he would be frightened to debate her, but that's way faster than I thought it would be.
He's barely even trying to come up with something plausible.

How is asking for a change of venue chickening out??
If you think Trump is scared of Kamaltoe you are a terrible judge of character

Yes, but if it was a misdemeanor, then the statutes of Limitations, would have applied. Therefore, no case!!
I do love how the argument isn't "He didn't do it" but instead "He should have been able to get away with it".

Now that Biden’s out what will happen to Hunter’s laptop?
It floats to the background.

The current tax case will putter along but won't matter so much since it isn't as useful for the campaign.
The whole "They lied about Hunter's laptop" will come up from time to time as a ritual phrase when they want to talk about how the media is being unfair to them or cover up a scandal.

But mostly they will stop pretending they care about it.

These fuckin democrats don't get it. America isn't going to vote for a female president. They just shot themselves in the foot. They handed the presidency, the House, and the Senate over to the Extremist GOP.
This is the fear many people have.
The country is just too racist and sexist to overcome.

The fact that we are actually having conversations here about the border crisis is a major realignment. It wasn't that long ago mandrill, Frank and some others were pushing either the crazy idea the U.S. had to take in economic migrants or the problem was exaggerated. I think for awhile they were floating the idea that Biden had been doing everything that Trump was doing. Nothing changed policy-wise except the volume of migrants was higher.

I live in a world where both parties have bad ideas and bad policies. If you live in a world where you think Democrats have all the answers and never do anything stupid, were always going to have problems discussing what's happening.
It is the cult that believes their side can do no wrong. We on the left will not cheer on a politician who is a criminal because he is on our team.

Joe opened it...Kamala supported it...so complaining she failed because it was hard...."unburdened of what has been"... 😂 😂 ...I'm actually wanting for her to win now and see how much shit the left will keep eating and say "life is good" even when the shit hits the fan...
Man, I hope the rabbit hole you are in isn't spinning too much. I worry about you.

Actually, they haven't done that, as Butler points out.

There are a couple of ways to interpret that.
Butler has chosen the one where this is because they don't want her, and are organizing a way to install their own person at the convention (Pelosi the kingmaker, as he says.)

The other is that as the 4 most obvious "leaders" of the party (Pelosi and Obama as respected former power centers no longer officially in power, Jeffries and Schumer as head of House and Senate), they are specifically holding back from endorsing until the convention so as not to give the impression that " Democratic leaders have come down from the mountain and declared she's the one".

It could also be a mix of the two, with some holding back for appearance and others jockeying for position to install someone else. (With more than one candidate being a possibility there, which could perhaps cancel each other out.)

He immediately backed out of the agreed on deal and tried to demand something else.
Sure looks like someone trying to find an excuse to back out, doesn't it? (Or at least set up an excuse for losing.)

What I said was Pelosi never went into a vote she couldn't win. And she is the conduit to the donors still. She is the one who orchestrated Biden's removal. And she will be the one who puts together the votes for who she/donors are choosing.

I also said I have no clue who that is. It could very well be Harris. I think polling over the next few weeks will matter. Also who is actually interested in the job. I think many names being wishcast won't run, or don't want to get in. This is the only kick at the can anyone who does will get. Why get in this shitshow?

And finally the cold hard calculus of whether they give up on the WH and try to salvage down ballot. They have to try obviously. Even to pull voters in and off the couch.

Adding on just now if Pelosi has spoken then she already has the votes and assurances of no other big names in.

Question now is do they do a virtual roll call or one at the convention.

Everyone knew it would all end after the election. The pardon from President Biden comes and that's that. Nothing's changed.
