If this England team was coached by Pep Guardiola, they will win this championship going away
I don't think Southgate gets the best out of his players. Much like Keefe when he was the Leafs coach.

England seems to go to the bottom of the barrel for managers instead of going for managers that have proven success at the club and international level. I wonder if EDDIE HOWE will get an interview when Mouthgate leaves.

Tough to lose for a self goal, but Spain was better. Its not all lost for Italy, if they win or draw against Croata they're through. Unless they lose against Croatia and Albania beats Spain, which is not going to happen. I said it before I think Spain is one of the strongest and I'm not surprised if the win the cup. Williams from Spain is great reminds me of Vinicius.

Riccardo Calafiori's stock has gone down, Nico Williams has gone way up.

In La Liga, he's playing for his home region club, Athletic Bilbao...more than likely will be playing for Barcelona next season.

The Azzurri needed the injured Acerbi.

England-Denmark 1-1

I can't see England as very strong competitors, with this game. They played better against Serbia. Maybe they figured they were going to go thru anyways.
For all the hype that they were the favorites they look mediocre as they could easily be 0-2
'
There was no energy, no pace to the game. England got caught too many times on the ball, too many sloppy passes
Denmark were the better team and deserved to win.

Lucky for them they are not in the group of death division so they will make it out
but then faced with the best teams they are in serious trouble so say goodbye to Southgate to coach the Worlds
although injuries and poor playing by a couple of potential stars made it impossible for Southgate to select the three lions best players

It was painful to watch Southgate yell at his players while touching his forehead telling them to think.
If you cannnot think then WTF are you doing on a Euro pitch ?

The pitch was tearing up even though the dome was closed to stop the rain.
It was a dangerous mess but no excuses as it was the same pitch for both teams

After two games and no improvement we are seeing the best of the 3 lions

You come to these games at your best as it is too late to improve

The Far Right in Europe, who are opposed to immigrants from Africa, dont seem to have a problem with soccer players of African descent
The French team is basically French West African. Spanish team is led by two stars of African descent: 16 year old Lamine Yamal and 20 year old Nico Williams, whose Ghanaian parents braved a perilous journey across the Sahara Desert to arrive in a Spanish colony. Father of German superstar Jamal Musiala is Nigerian. And so on.

Ex-Italian super star Roberto Baggio and his family were robbed at gunpoint yesterday while watching the Italy vs Spain match. Fortunately, he was not seriously hurt

Pierre Emile-Højbjerg is rumored on the way to A C Milan.

I doubt it Dane. The government has repealed the corporate welfare plan for the owners of the clubs. So far every AC Milan transfer target has been poached by the EPL, which provides generous tax incentives to it's billionaire owners. Joshua Zirkzee was offered double the wages to sign with Manchester United, he'll be making $600,000 a week. With it's vibrant economy, the EPL can buy up any up and coming talent they want. The British tax payer is more than happy to support them.

There's only one other league richer than the EPL.

We'll see what happens next, but I'm sure they'll come through. Although Slovenia can be tricky, but I don't the points situation.

France- Netherlands 0-0

I think the French played better in the second period. Netherlands may have a hard time against Austria.

Romania -Belgium tomorrow, Romania may kill Belgium or their fairy tale win will be over.

Portugal- Turkey another good game.

Off topic, but yesterday Argentina made Canada wait extra 20 minutes on the field before coming back for the second period.

If they do not make it through to sudden death then it is the Tower of London for Southgate
