Always amazes me how much time people are willing to wait in line and burn additional fuel just to save a few dollars.
Today there’s extra perceptual panic due to price increasing $0.14/ltr tomorrow.

I had my dinner and stepped out to Canadian Tire, got my tank filled ( + 5 ¢ off a liter with my Canadian Tire card ) and was back in 1/2 hour. The only delay was a few minutes when a walk in guy from the streets had to by his 12 types of lottery tickets.

I waited maybe 10 minutes, if that, to get my gas.
The blessings of living in a small city.

And then using the gas to drive to a big city to get your dick wet 😂
Well half and half. 1st half driving to Go station, 2nd half cost of Go ticket.
But the hourly cost increases SP's have been charging lately, has pretty much turned me off of seeing anyone.
Last time I seen anyone was back in the fall.:(

Newer cars have an automatic idle shut off. That may minimize the fuel wasted while waiting.

Also Bazokajoe is right. Smaller towns, no lines.
People are still wasting half an hour of their life in these lines for $5 in savings.
This is less than minimum wage. It’s sad.

It is a matter of habit. If you take every chance to save, it is money in your pocket. I had to go to pick up a few things at the grocery store anyways last evening. Not many people at the grocery store, and there were no line ups at the gas station. If you can save 14 ¢ ( + 5 ¢ Canadian Tire per liter ) the saving is about $10. I pick up over $1K a year on both my Canadian Tire and Presidents Choice card. It feels good to get over $2 K free.

I also get free CAA type services on the Canadian Tire card. I never used the Canadian Tire free towing but 10 years ago my car would not start and the manufacturers warranty included free towing to the dealer. The price back then was $500 for flat bed transport 5 minute ride to the dealer. The price must be higher now.

Brampton
Fucking Carbon Tax, and HST on carbon tax only makes it worse.
EVs are useful if all you do is drive in the city.
The nail in the EV coffin is the Hertz disaster.
Sir, You need some ed ja ma cation . I've driven from Brampton to PEI and back 3x. Once with a non Tesla. More pleasant in a Tesla. Cost per mile is a quarter of what an ICE car would be , when charging at home . Free for my car at Tesla SuperChargers.
