There's an interview that he just made, off the cuff kind. He wasn't shy about it when they asked and they pre-faced it that they were curious so he went into it.
Essentailly he said, he and Haas unfortunately didn't see eye to eye in terms of allocating resources. Steiner felt they should more money into R&D and Haas disagreed and wanted the team to go his way, so they parted ways.
That said, the Netflix team is still following Steiner so he will be just fine in terms of career and not being forgotten about, now that he's the type, I think that's his appeal though, he is 100% about racing and no bullshit and good times.

I'll try to dig through my history later and see if I can find it. Wish me luck. lol

Wish I could find my own stuff when I need to, as fast as I found this video.
Steiner is great. Drive to Survive would be boring without him.

It's two very different approaches to the F1 team. I can't imagine owning a team and having that kind of money and not wanting to be on the cutting edge of tech and being competitive.

Team Steiner for me. Gene has it wrong, but he's also a billionaire with a plan and I'm not.lol

Haas did something right in the off-season with their speed. And K-Mag put on a clinic on how to help his teammate and stop others from advancing. That was a fun battle to watch. F1 is still great in my books for the mid-bottom level teams fighting it out. We all know Red Bull will dominate, but focussing on the next set of teams makes for some entertaining races.

Agreed. $450 million of consequences for Don the Fraud! Let's see how it goes with your whining Karen's complaint to the Manager of the Appeals Court;)

But in the case of Horner's accuser, how do you know she was lying when I can't seem to find anything except some of the alleged text messages Horner sent to her?

RUMOUR-GOSSIP WARNING DISCLAIMER

I was speaking to someone I know in F1 on Thursday. According to her, it seems that Horny Horner was sending her racy/flirty text (WhatsApp?) messages that he thought he could deny were flirty by claiming they were innocent. Clearly messages asking if she ever wore Spanx while standing on her head were inappropriate.

According to gossip and rumours it seems that Jos Verstappen (Max's father) was secretly schtupping the complainant himself, was offended/threatened/jealous or just honestly protective of her and encouraged/coached her to submit the messages to HR. The owners of RB, knowing how vital Horner was to the team were not going to fire him and tried to smooth it over.

Rumour was that Jos became more pissed and anonymously forwarded those messages to the F1 Paddock in the hope that Horner would then have to be forced out of RB for bringing the sport into disrepute. Rival teams, mostly Toto, made some noise about a full FIA inquiry, motivated by trying to disrupt RB in the hope of being able to create chaos that they could use to try to catch up to RB.

Apparently, RB owners knew right away that Jos was behind it. It took their investigators a week to prove that Jos was behind the Paddock spamming. She was ostensibly suspended on the basis that she had no right to share these intra-company communications (or the mailing list that matched her own Contacts/Address Book!) with Jos. And that her actions led to Jos destabilizing the team with possibly severe consequences.

At least that is the rumoured story that is going around the Paddock. 🤷‍♂️

Update.

Seems it was Helmut Marko who leaked the text messages. Not Jos.

Just shows how unreliable gossip and rumours can be, even when from a trusted insider source.

Rumours suggest that Marko may have leaked sensitive chat messages relating to Horner’s case to the press, further complicating the internal dynamics and pointing to a significant power play within the team’s hierarchy.

Oh look….there‘s that word RUMOUR again.

No PROOF it was Marko.

Could easily be anyone other than Marko, even Jos.

Rumours and gossip are unreliable no matter how trusted an insider source is.
All true!

Another boring season of Verstappen dominance. Ollie Bearman is only 18 and already a better driver than Lance Stroll.

The thing about Lance is that he seems to be able to put in a drive every now and then. It's just frustrating that he is still so inconsistent despite the years of experience he has in F1. If his dad was not the team owner, he would have lost his seat to a rookie.

Forgot which video I saw but even if half of the things are true, Lance needs to go and enjoy his Dad's billions. He seems to show zero interest in the actual inner workings of F1, didn't care to see Aston Martin's F1 facility and has this massive "zero fucks" attitude about everything.

Imagine being able to get into F1 because your Dad bought into a team and you act like that?? Window licker is a bang on description of him.

Max is crazy, I can't even express into words how impressive that guy is, granted the car helps but what he's capable of doing with it, crazy!

I agree with your assessment of Lance. He looks bored with it all.

Max is a robot. Very rarely makes any mistakes, and if he does he recovers quickly.

Max will be extremely difficult to catch. He’s a phenomenon.
Imagine being bored when you're on the F1 circuit and around all that noise, meaning the people and the energy.

It stems from this:
"The FIA has launched an investigation into Toto and Susie Wolff following allegations of potential conflicts of interest, as reportedly raised by Formula 1 team principals. These concerns stem from the possibility of the Wolffs having access to confidential information that could give Mercedes an unfair advantage."

Shock result! Can history repeat itself.

Red Bull made adjustments in 2021 allowing them to close the gap with AMG Mercedes, they have been virtually unbeaten ever since. Ferrari made adjustments prior to Australia, can they consistently compete with Red Bull.
