Biblical, historical Israel? The Romans sorted them out a couple of thousand years ago. The modern state of Israel? They were somewhat gifted much of the original biblical territory sort of to make up for the holocaust, even though none of the land belonged to Nazis or the Third Reich.
Jews and Muslims have been at odds since Muhammad founded Islam. The Koran depicts Jews in a very negative light. So, after WWII the rest of the world though it was a good idea to grant Israel territorial rights. Even so, if they had managed to stay within their designated borders, something probably could have been worked out...
IIRC, historically the British invited them into Palestine in the Balfour Declaration around 1916.

It's those difficult little details, right?.... Like knowing anything about the topic at hand.

Disingenuous and that is being generous. Which land is that you were referring to. Shouldn't be a difficult question or answer.

all the majority of israelis need is for gazans to not go over the fence. Kinda what most of us expect from their neighbours.
[/QUOTE]
If I was your neighbour and you treated me like the Israelis treat the Arabs, first I would call the cops (the UN) and then if they did nothing I would go over the fence and deal with it.

That land has been taken, retaken, and retaken again. Which is true of just about every land on Earth. Plus, who is "them"? If you're talking about Palestinians from 1948, then most of "them" are dead and gone.
People are way too focused on what happened in the past, to individuals who no longer exist, and need to focus more on solutions for the future and the people living it. Solutions that don't involve bombardment/invasion every 10 years or so.
You mean like ending apartheid and the occupation or do you mean genocide and ethnic cleansing?

Wow.... let's see if Basketcase tries to downplay the Israeli depravity seen here......... and Blumenthal is Jewish!
Unlike you, I have condemned hatred from Israeli sources when the deserve it and Palestinian sources when they deserve it. And I've stated several times that the only good thing that may come out the war hamas launched is the removal of Bibi.

And pathetic the way you guys celebrate token Jews while automatically rejecting opinions from jews you don't like as biassed.

No, they promised a Jewish homeland, no borders defined. They also promised the the Arabian Hashemites an Arab state, no borders defined. They also made promises to the French.

In the end, the Jews got a small homeland, the Hashemites were given Jordan, Syria, and Iraq and then they declared war and took the West Bank from the Palestinians. Add in the others like Yamen and Armenia. The only people who got screwed were the Arabs on both banks of the Jordan who had their land taken by foreign Arabs and the Kurds who never got any recognition.

But you don't actually want to talk about history, you just want to make excuses to push your emotionally laded death porn.

So might makes right 2000 years ago but not now?

The modern state of Israel? They were somewhat gifted much of the original biblical territory sort of to make up for the holocaust, ..
And they took in 800,000 Arab Jews chased out of their traditional homes. In 20th century politics, that should have balanced the 750,000 Arabs who fled Israel but unlike every other ethnic conflict of the 20th century from the Greko-Turkish war to the Balkans in the 90's, the Arabs left their refugees locked in camps instead of trying to integrate them.

Jews and Muslims have been at odds since Muhammad founded Islam. The Koran depicts Jews in a very negative light. Thank you for admitting that there is a religious anti-semitism in some Muslim viewpoints but you seem to either ignore or be completely ignorant of the events between 1919 and 1948 where the Arab leadership rejected the presence of Jews, promoted mob violence against even the indigenous Jewish populations, and declared war to eliminate them. Thankfully for Israel the British led/equipped Hashemite army were satisfied when they captured East Jerusalem as a replacement for losing Mecca to Saud and didn't look to expand more.

p.s. Jews were one of the largest groups in Jerusalem before Zionism and Zionists were immigrating to the region under both the Ottomans and Brits before the war.

No you haven't.
You've spent years blaming Hamas for the occupation and for all Israeli attacks on Palestinians.
You've spent years defending settler colonialism, apartheid and now you're defending genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Yet only 7% of the population of Palestine before zionism.
...
And the Palestinian leaders took legal Jewish immigration as an excuse to target centuries old Jewish communities.

In 1880, Canada had a near zero population of Middle Eastern, Black, or Asian people. Are you saying those groups have no right to be in Canada now?

Zionism was a foreign colonial movement, an attempt by the brits to make Palestinians deal with the Jewish problem they didn't want to deal with.
The occupation has been illegal for 75 years now, its not 'legal immigration'.

Every single settlement is a war crime.

Zionism hasn't changed in 75 years.
