The hit was done by a professional team, they left nothing behind. I don't think any family member would have access to such a team.
Also who has the power to influence the investigation? For the first few weeks the official version was that it was murder suicide even though both people had their hands tied behind their backs.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't the family who ordered the hit.

Wonder if that private company was doing some shady business (illicit drugs?) and did something that upset the mob?

The killers left the corpses arranged exactly in the same position as the couples life sized statue in their basement.
This fact seems to have been initially over looked by Toronto LE as were many other facts.

After intensive study of the details and viewing a few Perry Mason episodes - I believe the butler did it.
Never having owned one ( I never want to, a boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into ) I never had the need to spell the word. In university, I knew a dimbo girl that told me she saw a news article in the newspapers where people in Central America trained animals to fight for them in wars. She showed me the news article.
The headline read :
" Communist trained guerillas attack police training barracks in capitol city "
The article goes on to read :
Communist trained guerillas waited at the police training compound for the daily patrols to go out before laying siege to the training facility. In the compound were 100 raw recruits that just arrived the day before, as well as a staff of about 30 training staff and other administrative personnel. Just because you think someone is guilty, doesn't mean they are....or there just isn't enough to tie them to the case.
This was professionally done. The assassin knew the home, knew where there were nearby security cameras, knew schedules. Nobody understands why a junior detective called it a murder-suicide on the first day, but I remember a lot of people questioning that. It really didn't make any sense. Barry Sherman wasn't exactly loved. He fucked over a lot of people, including his own family. He filed many lawsuits over the years, and likely pissed off a ton.
Now, I listened to the first few episodes of the Billionaire Murders podcast, but the son could definitely be a suspect. However, the scene had a huge lack of evidence. There are tons of motive, but nothing worthy of an arrest...
I already mentioned. This happens all the time in criminal cases. The crimes can be solved but not proven. They won't do anything until they can actually prove it.
You realize LE out in LA knew who killed both tupac and biggy by mid 2000's right?? And they just arrested one guy a month ago. (all the others on both sides are dead)

I didn’t say that I believed that the son was guilty or not guilty.
Toronto LE initially said that it was a murder suicide, then retracted the statement after pressure from the family including the son.
Now people are implying that the same Toronto LE know what happened but are not saying anything. with no arrest due to lack of evidence.
And why do believe that the son arranged the corpses in that tell tale position ?
