Massive day for Palantir

Today is a very important day for Palantir. AI stocks have been on a tear, and Palantir is a key player. It's on the verge of being profitable, and this quarter's earnings will reveal a lot. The stock will move violently in either direction. Earnings report after the bell.

I don't invest in things I don't have first-hand experience with.

Never used Palantir's service, so can't tell first hand whether it's a valuable company or not.

Seems like a lot of people are jumping on the palantir bandwagon, but have no idea what it actually does.

My feeling is that palantir is going to moon after earnings.

CPI came in pretty good today. In the past, the stock market would be up to 2-3%, it is down right now.
It doesn’t matter how good the news is, stocks are tanking

A lot of players have stepped away from the market, there is no confidence in the economy. Interest rates are too high, the market will get some vitality back when the interest rates start to recede.

Yep. The market is doing very bad. The first half of 2023 was great, but ever since July things have gone downhill. It doesn’t matter what their earnings reports are. Especially vulnerable are riskier stocks such as palantir

Very dangerous stock. Only thing that gives it support is the government contracts. Still waiting for them to make it in private software.

The one thing that Palantir has going for it is the number of government contracts it has. With all the uncertainty in this world, I think the US government will spend more money on military and I think when we talk about military, it is not just the weapons I think it is the technology that is what is going to be the future of military that is why I feel that Palantir is such a great guy, as it will consistently have a stream of revenue that will come in from the United States government. Pelletier is so far ahead of all other companies when it comes to AI and the military, and it is very hard for me to fathom that the US government actually would go with some new software, considering the expense it would be, and how much work it would be and security issues. It would be for them to change and roll over to new software.
