She said that landlords can choose to list their homes via DonateTo, to help refugees if they want to do it.
Volunteering other peoples shit, what a real life santo.

At least she isn't making them do it like they did during Covid.

That from someone that abused the system to live in $800/month co-op housing when her and Jack gross income was over 100k.
Which is why she is known as a champagne socialist in these parts.......

I’m so glad you called this out. Whenever I mention this to my circle of friends, most don’t remember or know about it. They are the epitome of living off the taxpayers for their entire adult life and she is continuing the tradition of telling us how we should spend our hard earned after tax dollars.

the facts and entire story, read it, it won't take long

''The couple had been living in the Hazelburn Co-operative, which is federally subsidized and meant to be affordable for low-income families, but is open to mid- and high-income families to create mixed neighbourhoods and prevent ghettoization.''

Geez I'm surprised they didn't adopt that pad as their permanent residence you know to do their best to prevent ghettoization and all...LOL....The HuffPost and their spin.

Well don’t forget, when Jack became an MP, he would have qualified for a pad in Ottawa curtesy of the tax payers, like all other elected officials. The pattern continued.

She isn't volunteering anything. She is saying if anyone wants to do it, they can do it via DonateTO.
She isn't forcing but, she is more than just pointing out that an option exists, she I assume is suggesting that landlords should sign up for it.
Well I learned a long time ago that in a volunteer situation if you say something should be done, the automatic question to ask is, OK when you are going to do it.

I never suggested she signed people up for it, because it isn't volunteering but the language I used is still cromulent.

The problem isn't with the concept. In fact its a part if the refugeee process if private citizens are bringing people over to supply this. And it worked since it was created in the 90's.

The problem people have with this is leaders like Chow and Trudeau who advocate for increasing govt refugee levels(they are two different things) don't supply the infrastructure the government is responsible for in those cases, then when a crisis like the one happening occurs, plea for Canadians to fix it for them.

Thats why our answer generally is...."you first".
