A man was detained without charge or apparently any evidence for 6 months......You think that is valid?
There was certainly evidence, as the detention was reviewed by the court a few times.
I was unclear, I suppose.
That a continental system is different doesn't mean I think it is "without cause".
It has its own rules about proper cause and review.
I think that just has to do with when and how the charges are brought, though. It doesn't seem that common to detain for a long time, and from what I understand, the specifics of what charges is determined at trial. Which isn't really THAT different from our system's ability to add charges later and to offer the jury multiple charges to decide on.
Why do you think there was no evidence?
There was sufficient evidence under the system to hold him, and charges aren't brought until you are at trial there from what I understand.
Yes here the cops lay an initial set of charges to start the case and can then add or change them.
In Europe, they start with an arrest and present the evidence to a judge to authorize detention.
Tate is a flight risk and also a risk for intimidating witnesses, I am guessing. In any event, he has now been released. Maybe he posted a massive cash bail?.... IDK.
Did you miss the part where a judge has to review every 30 days if there is enough to justify the detention? Do you believe the Judge along with the authorities is doing this without having any evidence? Do you not believe it would be an egg on their face holding a man with the wealth and following Tate has?

Because it's a court case and the judge has the authority to do judge shit in Romania, just like in Canada. And judge shit includes putting someone in jail.
The Tater bros. went into another country and told the world that the politicians, government officials, the police and any woman he wants to fuck can be bought off. He is making hundreds if not thousands of times more money annually than the average Romanian, ( off the backs of Romanian women with his webcam sites ) Lives in nice places that have heat in the winter and cooling in the summer, drives nice cars ( multiple ) when the average Romanian can not even have a fifteen year old Lada. He probably has meals that cost the equivalent of a weekly salary of the average Romanian.

Envy is when you wish to be like another person. The Tater Bros are the worst examples of extraverted people I have ever known. They put out the notion to the incel types to be just like them. ( to have puzzy and to eat it too ) Then they put out an offer to teach people how they might be like them when in reality the chances of success is very small. Do I want to live like the Taters? I say too much work and responsibility to maintain such a façade. Do I want to drive the type of cars they drive? I do not need the headaches. I am the polar opposite of the Tate Bros. A little better than average is what I prefer.
The problem with being at the top or being Top G is that there is always someone coming to knock you off the pile. If you aspire to be a Top G, then I would suggest you apply to The Tate Bros. Hustler University and hope you meet their admissions requirements.

But if a judge does that to someone Oracle likes, it is "authoritarianism" of course.
(And yes, I know that the actual rule is that the judge is unworthy to have authority over Top G people like Tate, but authoritarianism by the "right people" over "the undesirables" is entirely appropriate and correct.)
Who in their right mind would want Tates life right now? House arrest facing possible jail. He will never be able to roam around freely without watching his back. Really, you believe he's in a good place right now?
