You do realize that he's a man, right? I just want to be clear that we're on the same page or if you've actually been absorbed into the delusion.
I do sympathize with him. He wishes he was a woman, he feels like he's a woman, he has undergone chemical and surgical procedures to resemble a woman, and he wears the accoutrements of a woman (makeup, dress, hair). Yet none of those things make him a woman.
No more than me claiming to be a toddler makes me one. The laws of nature preclude me from being one now. I wish I could fly but nature didn't give me wings.
Let's agree to call him a trans woman, to respect him, but never a woman, because that disrespects our own senses and actual women. As such, he has no business competing in sport against women.

You miss the point - which is that trans people who compete as woman are almost never good enough to compete at a high level. So any argument that they are going to displace genetic women from women's sports is spurious.
Which is probably why the Olympics and other high level sports governing bodies don't ban them. The only people who seem keen to ban trans women from women's sports are right wing politicians in Red States and they do it for PR exposure and polling ratings.
No, the people keen on banning trans women from women's sports are female athletes, and people that already understand the difference between men's and women's leagues.
This is not a political issue. It's a biological and common sense issue.
