Two Correct!

Josh Johnson and Chris Carpenter each led the National League in ERA once.

David Cone finished second in ERA twice, (once in each league), but never led either league in ERA.

Who was the only Major League Baseball pitcher to lose 20 or more games in a season after 1980?

Mike Maroth
Correct!

Maroth was 9-21 for the 2003 Detroit Tigers, who finished 43-119. That team was on pace to have a worse season record than the hapless '62 Mets, (40-120), until they won five of their final six games.

The following June, the Tigers selected 2nd in the amateur draft, because at the time, the first selection alternated between the teams with the previous season's worst record in the National and American Leagues. Selecting first, the San Diego Padres chose Matt Bush, (briefly a member of the Blue Jays' organization, between assault arrests), and the Tigers snagged Justin Verlander with the #2 pick.
