Having had been around dogs a lot in my life, there's one particular chocolate that's lethal, baker's chocolate. The milk chocolate stuff, not much of a problem but best to avoid just in case.
My friend's chocolate lab (ironically enough) ate an entire Mars bar one day, something she snatched off of someone at the table at Jack Darling park in Mississauga.. she was fine, no problems.
The stuff that's dangerous is the baker's chocolate stated above, 70% cocoa.
Safe to say you knew these two basic ones and people. Feed some people peanuts, or anything containing peanuts - even trace amounts), or shell fish of any kind and they're going to have serious problems.
