I think I was 5 when I knew I liked girls. Should my school have made me wait until 16 to discuss that sexual attraction is a thing? Imagine a system where kids are getting laid before schools are allowed to mention gender or sexuality?

My dad was a drunken, wife-beating asshole who enjoyed humiliating his family. Why would I want to talk to him?
There's probably a teachers' code in most School boards that mentions teaching stuff like freedom of speech, freedom of the press and equality as a basis for inclusivity.
My father and my sister always tried to establish that talk, but I actually didn't want/care to discuss sex period. There was enough smut on television for me to put it all together.

Definitely not but I think you're just mixing terms. Freedom of speech and freedom of press almost never encouraged in school. Ask my teacher said freedom is out there not in here. School is a Dictatorship. Why they might not say That out loud anymore its still the case
