I was using "lashes" figuratively. Thought it was obvious.

Anyway, a bit of discipline is needed with the "children" at York Collegiate. Or, maybe some people are happy with the status quo?

"Amid news of weapons, mass brawls and endless intimidation inside the facility at Keele St. and Eglinton Ave. W., teachers have begun staying home over health and safety issues — to the point where more than a dozen staffers stayed off the job for a day recently in a work refusal gesture."

"Insiders told City News on Friday that fights break out at the school almost daily, and the use of weapons is suspected. The school bathrooms are alleged to be no-go-zones of sex, brawls and drug deals.
Teachers have received death threats and have been assaulted; a melee at the end of October that saw dozens of students storm the main office was the last straw for teachers and prompted the work refusals."

For starters, get rid of the lefty trustees. It isn't rocket science.

What do you think? Are you happy with the status quo? Do you have a proposed solution? (Why do I have to fix everything?)
So get rid of democracy when you don't like who gets elected?

Every student has to wear a uniform, the same style and no extra for special emblem as the Catholics do, that causes a rift.

Have cameras on all hallways, library, cafeteria, parking lot. No blind spot. And outside also.

IF student doesn't dress properly 200 push ups, next strike 200 squats, then sit ups. It means by third strike a student will do push up, squats , sit ups and so on it just keep adding on. If late more than 3 times a week 1/2 the reps. But if continuous then standard number of reps.

Have a list of all bad boys/girls - so cops - eye them and not others.

Everyone must clean the classrooms every day. Just like Japan.

Volunteering is a joke, a young guy told me at work how he got away with it.

Day trips to the Army base, Homeless shelter centre, Food bank, Soup kitchen feeding center and eat there for lunch and lastly .....a days work in a farm.

Anything else?
I would love to see how Forest Hill parents would react to that.

The staff at that school have a right to refuse unsafe work. Everyone does.
I know first hand people who have gone to the PRC and South Korea to teach ESL and they say students in the PRC, South Korea and Asia generally are extremely well behaved. Also, my roommate in university was from Singapore (where I hope to retire to).

Is this place FH a rich zone of TO? I am not from TO.

If so, yeah just like any other rich zone city in the world.

Reaction - it's just fitness and keeping your kid fat free and healthy - what's the whining about?

That's because the kids know if they misbehave the parents will not be very happy.

In the thread about the gunman who did a mass shooting at the drag show, Darts is complaining that the "lefties" who stopped him used too much force,
Was not complaining. Just saying to be careful not to use excessive force.
BTW: I use "lefties" far less than the usual suspects who blame everything on righties. I'm not even a rightie, just a realist.

"In other words, a civilian must only use that amount of force that is reasonably necessary to stop the threat and no more. If the civilian continues to use force after the threat was stopped, that force may be considered unnecessary and excessive force. In these cases, the civilian may be charged with a crime."

What's the demographic at this school?

Big protest by the students to-day. According to the CP 24 student interviews, the students all claim it is 120% the fault of the (liberal?) school administration.

BTW: Apparently, this stuff never happens in Singapore.

I never hear about schools like this in Canada except in Etobicoke (Rexdale in particular) and Scarborough. Perhaps Brampton now too.

I blame the kids, why can’t they all just get along with one another?
