Who's really think Elon is a dummy are just hating on the guy....Yeah...the richest man in the world is a dummy ... You can pick a lot of words to call the guy, could be an asshole if that helps...but really...all you can come up is he's the dummy? I feel like people hating on Elon right now are just hating because he doesn't lean with you politically....If ELon was charging $8/mo blue check twitter account and supports the Dems....AOC would shut her mouth on this...Lol...
Here's the thing, his massive success is really thanks to him being in the right place at the right time in many different ways. First, his family wealth gave him a stake to start his first business and parlay that into an investment in PayPal. He did launch SpaceX, but he is directly dependent on government subsidies. Tesla, he invested into it and became a hell of a salesman. But is he the one who created anything there? Nope. Is he a visionary? Sure. But many of his other ventures are crap. Like the Boring Company. What did it accomplish? There are verifiable facts that he created it just to impede California's plan to create high-speed rail and have people transition from cars to trains....I know, shocking for a guy who owns a car company.....
Look, I'm not going to say he isn't smart. But he isn't infallible. He's made expensive mistakes, and his ego is massive. He sure isn't above stock market manipulation or other pump & dumb schemes...
And, I'll even say that maybe his bet on Twitter will payoff. But nobody can say his first week of ownership has gone smoothly. And it could all go downhill from there. I mean, apparently he fired the CEO and some other top executives with cause in the hopes he could avoid paying $200M in golden parachutes. All that's done is likely embroiled the company in a legal battle for a few years which he'll likely lose. I've also heard from some lawyer types that by having a mass job cuts could open the company to penalties for breaking California labor laws regarding notice....
