I have said before that the former epidemiologist in chief deserves some (not a lot) of credit for the development of the vaccine. That does not change the fact that his idea of being presidential in the face of an impending catastrophe was just happy talk and he did nothing to encourage people to get vaccinated while he was in office. He and his supporters were the principal purveyors of information and opposition to vaccinations and mandates while he and they were selling these idiotic treatments like Ivermectin. While successful only to a degree no one did more to encourage people to get the shots then joe. He is not responsible if people don't and blaming him for the failure of POC to get vaccinated is quite absurd. The former guy was criminally negligent in his handling of the entire matter and only got religion very very late in the day after he was out of office.

I do not know that Joe said that if you were vaccinated you could get covid. He may have I just do not recall. In any event the virus has been mutating and if you look at the death rate it is markedly lower among fully vaccinated people and even the infection rate is lower among people who have been boosted. At least he is dealing with the issue head on.
