Russian warships seem to catch fire frequently.What's the over/under on how many hours before the Russians put out a press release saying the ship caught fire by itself again?
It is careless smoking around ammunition or fuel dumps.
You think they would ban smoking around them or at least put up some kind of warning, maybe a no smoking sign?
They may have to sink this one as well to put the fire out.
No, it is near its end of use date and they set it on fire to intentionally destroy it.
Scratch that, there are heavy seas in the area at least 3 ft high and the ship may sink while being towed.
Would you believe it is a training mission on how to fight on board ship fires?

Hitting a Neptune missile with a warship is one way to destroy it

I understand that the Russian Navy is anchoring notty buoys all over the Black Sea to mark the demise of its various temporary flagships.

The person I feel most sorry for in all of this is poor Vlad Putin. Vlad was all set to announce a massive victory over the NATO Nazis at his big parade on Monday and now it's all going to be awkward and embarrassing for him.

They also manufacture Alder precision-guided rockets.
One other thing to note, Russia has not been able to produce a warship larger than a 4,000-tonne Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate that is non nuclear powered since they invaded Crimea.
Why is this?
The engines that Russia used for this were manufactured in Ukraine and since the Crimean invasion, Ukraine won't export to Russia.
They need to manufacture some offshore. Kviv is still an easy target. If they produced them in Canada the surplus could be kept up there to defend the Arctic Circle...
