People should stop with this "medical condition" phraseology as if it's something horrendously life altering and makes her a sympathetic figure. Gimme a break. It's as much of a medical condition as a pimple on your nose.

Let her wear a wig. Women already have so many accessories to disguise how they really look. False eyelashes, makeup, padded bras, botox injections, boob jobs etc. etc. She brings the attention upon herself. If she is so emotionally scarred, so should women with short eyelashes.

It in no way justifies Smith's actions.

I'm prepared to get ripped a new one.

BTW, he's a crappy actor.
I always like him as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air...

I never said life threatening… but a woman losing her hair, is altering. However…. That is not point. It never was the point.

There are so many things you could have made a joke about picking on Jada. Fucking boycotting one year because her husband was not nominated, when he has been nominated twice previously. The Smith’s offer a lot of material.

Jada has a condition that makes her lose her hair. It also seem that this condition brings an extremely high level of anxiety to people who suffer of it. They have been laughing at her for years. Enough is Enough. They keep laughing at her for something she cannot change.
Female-pattern baldness is a pattern of hair loss (alopecia) caused by hormones, aging and genetics. Unlike male-pattern baldness, female-pattern baldness is an over-all thinning which maintains the normal hairline. This affects approximately 40% of women by age 50.

People make fun of balding guys all the time. I think Will Smith is suffering from thinning skin.

Doesn’t justify smiths actions, but making fun of a medical condition that affects a person’s appearance is shitty. Both can be wrong.

This is a medical condition, it can cause permanent patchy hair loss, and apparently sometimes patients need to take strong immune suppressing meds to prevent further or permanent hair loss. It’s not the normal mild hair loss associated with aging.

No she apparently has autoimmune alopecia. Causes patchy hair loss. This would be a big deal for any woman, let alone one part of whose personal and professional identity is “beauty”

Yeah, they are saying she has alopecia, well, when I look at her in the video, she looks like she has a down to the wood brush cut. You can see stubble galore, so I don't get how they say she's bald because she's not bald. If she was bald, she would not have a full head of stubble, it would be just Q ball.

And for that matter, a huge number of black women will shave themselves bald and wear wigs. I believe Michelle Obama was one. Chris Rock even made a movie about black women and their hair desires called, "Good Hair" If Jada Smith was so insecure about her hair, or lack thereof, she could have simply worn a wig.

I just think that Jada didn't like being the object of one of Rock's jokes period, and then she probably provoked Will Smith in some manner off screen because initially, he was laughing at it.

Smith lost his composure and as a result, he looks like a hot headed fool.

Call it as it is. Go white knight elsewhere.
You are new here. I’m not. So I’ve been here long enough to know that continuing this type of trolling, shit disturbing will get you banned. And you know that is what you are doing, you are insulting another member and mischaracterizing their posts simply to provoke a conflict. Mods have little tolerance for this, as this immature shit is toxic for the forum as a whole.

I'm not so sure he's a crappy actor.

Did you see his acceptance speech? Turning on the (crocodile) tears on command like that. Utter bullshit.

Guy deserves an Academy Award for "Best Leading Actor in a Bullshit lying Acceptance Speech"

I will repeat myself just to make sure people understand. I don't like the slap but I don't like the joke. Messing with any médical condition is a no in my book. We are all human and deserving of compassion. Now I am not saying that alopecia is life threatening but its a condition that brings psychological problem like major anxiety and dépression for people who suffer from it. I am also talking from a women point of view. I will let you guys speak for yourself. Because if for a guys it's not traumatic it doesn't mean that it isn't for a women.

Ps. I need fact check but wig and extension cause alopecia as well....

So pull your helmet on tight, wear a wig and grow a thicker skin.

Did you actually just try to pull rank on a prostitute forum? LOL! You know you have a sad life when that's an actual source of pride for yourself. It's funny how anyone can label anyone else a troll, I can say the same about you. She said something stupid, I called her out of it. And if you're also too dense to understand how sarcasm works that's not my problem.
No rank here. Just saying I’ve been here long enough to see guys like you get banned. Every time. Never fail. And the replies to a message like the one from me, asking you in a reasonable way to tone it down, are always the same “white knight, loser on a prostitution board etc” , you aren’t being very original in your insults.

Before this forum started, there were a few other versions that all became useless because of incessant arguments fuelled by insults and provocation. So the mods here over the years have taken people who are acting like you seriously and don’t let it go on for too long before someone gets banned.

Anyway, take my advice or not. You will see what happens.

We understand perfectly. Jokes at one's expense are only for men, not women. Women can't handle jokes. They are fragile little children who need to be coddled but also want to be treated as equal adults. Thanks for sharing your enlightened perspective.

Jada didn't slap Chris. Will did. Your argument is pointless. I have the right to do me and to honor the education I received in life. Respect and compassion.
