I don't see any evidence of 'looting' going on.
Its just allegations from people who want BLM investigated.
I read the report, checked the article and there is no evidence of wrongdoing anywhere, just vague allegations that they should be investigated.
Sounds like CM is just on his usual attack against BLM, anti racism and equal rights.
Unfortunately, I suspect that there is actual cause for concern. The details are still concealed however.
ROTFLMFAO!! How is this a surprise??? Look at the Democrat run cities and the "advocates" that keep themselves reelected, time and again, promising to help the poor blacks. Somehow, the politicians and their families end up in mansions, most of them in the white hoods, while the poor stay poor in their crime riddled shitholes. Why wouldn't the BLM do the same? What's good for AL Sharpton and other race hustlers is certainly good enough for the hustlers from BLM.
And that is the difference with us "lefties"; we try to be consistent with our morals instead of just blindly defending people who agree with us.

You had a decentralized "organization" that wasn't even really one - it was a name of a movement and a general set of principles.
As it picked up steam, it got more centralized to some degree, while pretending it wasn't doing that.
The original group had the main web site and so money went to them regardless of whether they were involved in the actual events people were supporting locally and once the money gets big enough, shit is going to go down.
BLM the movement is fine, BLM the various organizations making money is a shitshow and has been for a while.
I'll bear that in mind next time I'm reading how much DeSantis and Abbott are raking in.

The actual funding, who gets and controls the money, is it tax exempt or not and when, how is it disbursed to the chapters if people are donating to the "Global Network" when the thing is supposed to be semi-autonomous, etc.
That's been a problem for years and seems to have only gotten worse as they got bigger.
Sure, those are fair criticisms.
What I don't see is anything other than vague allegations that something evil must be going on so send in the auditors.
It may just be disorganized or it may be corrupt or it may be neither.
But they did give out what, $8 million in grants.
Maybe they are saving it for the next round of street protests to fund them like the karenkonvoy is funded.
IIRC, there was a charity at a golf club called Mar-a-Lago where the CEO paid a huge amount of $$$$ to purchase a portrait of himself. It would be scandalous, if it weren't so sad and pathetic.
I don't think it is any more corrupt than the typical "we suddenly had more money and no one knew what the fuck was going on" shit.
So yeah, some of it is sloppy, some of it is corrupt, some of it is just stupid thinking you could have a decentralized organization but only one group have the actual website and no one would have any formal structures making sure shit didn't go stupid.
The "It was all just a scam!" narrative is bullshit, but I fully expect there to be fucked up financial shenanigans.
At some point "Black Lives Matter" the group may vanish, and it will just migrate to being a slogan about a general movement with all the actual groups having different names.
I expect it' would end up looking squeaky clean compared to the yellow vest convoy money.
That's another case where millions mysteriously showed up and there will be no way to track where it goes.

All US political organizations are extremely sketchy. Compared to the rightie bullshit ones like "Cyber-ninjas", BLM is probably relatively less egregiously corrupt.
