Is shaving your balls really necessary?

Use a dull razor. When I notice a razor doesn't work on my face as well anymore, then it's safe enough to use on the boys. I shave them regularly even if I'm not sexually active. Haven't cut myself in many many years. Just do yourself a favor and only trim the hair around everywhere else and not straight razor, or you just feel/look like a pre-pubescent teenager. (not a turn on for many women)

I'm guessing skin toughens but I never cut myself anymore even with a sharp blade. Or maybe my hands were just a bit shaky from nerves those first few times and it became a self fullfilling prophecy that I cut myself but now I could comfortably do it blindfolded and I am certain I wouldn't suffer a single nick.

Just do yourself a favor and only trim the hair around everywhere else and not straight razor, or you just feel/look like a pre-pubescent teenager. (not a turn on for many women)
This is something I have often thought about it in case I ever find myself divorced and single again. What's acceptable nowadays?
My last GF before I met my wife (20 years ago) convinced me to be completely hairless there, she loved it that way. I became so used to it that after we ended things that I kept the hairless look. When I met my now wife, she loved it too and even gets on my case if it gets even a few days stubble. SPs have mentioned it in flattering ways but I expect they would do the same if I have a jungle down there.
So if I was to find myself in the dating scene again, what is the norm nowadays? I especially want to hear from the ladies on this subject.

I've been doing it, but not sure if it's worth the risk. How can you do it safely.

I only do it as a courtesy. Should I bother?
Blades are very sharp, and as such, very dangerous.

Instead, I suggest a small hand-held blow torch to burn the pubes off.

My balls were never super hairy, and I never got complaints, from sp or civilian women. I shaved to get snipped, and really liked the feeling. So I just kept doing it. Balls and base of shaft. Experimented with above, but my skin did NOT like it, got lots of really inflamed ingrown hairs. Looked and felt horrible. They are more sensitive, just feels good. And when doing sports, you don’t have to readjust because the hair is causing some friction, getting caught between your jock and skin etc.

Do I get treated any differently in bed? Not much, maybe a bit more enthusiastic bls, and a few more comments on how they like how my balls look. However I much prefer the feel of sex, BLS and hj hairless. Like I said, more sensitive.

Do it if you want. But do it for your own reasons.

As far as safety goes, I’ve been using the sideburn trimming (single) blade on a Gillette fusion 5 razor. I think the multi blade side on you use for the face cuts the hair too short and ingrowns become more of an issue. (More so at the base of the shaft, vs balls). the worst that’s happened is a slight graze off the top of one of The hair follicles that bled for 30 seconds. Major risk would be infected ingrown hairs

I shave my pubes only when I have date with an SP.
I figure I prefer them to be bald and I think they want the same from a guy.
Never met anyone who likes a mouthful of pubes.
I trim but it's for my own feeling of self-esteem. I don't like unkempt hair anywhere.
It's just personal preference but trimming myself to look like a pre-pubescent little boy isn't my thing.

You are dating an SP - as long as you are clean - why do you care ?

I used to think men with shaved pubes looked weird. The pubes used to hide all of the attachment points where the penis and balls attached to the rest of the body. And I'm sorry guys, it just didn't look good to me. I preferred if the guys kept at least a little bit of it behind to hide some of that plumbing.

If you just want to keep it a little trimmed, then a customer of mine once told me they use one of those beard trimmers with all of the safety guards and stuff, so you don't nick yourself. You don't have to shave it all off completely bald, in fact, please don't do that!

Interesting. I used to fully shave twig and berries. Now just the shaft. Never above the shaft in the belly area. So you prefer unshaved balls for BLS versus fully shaved. Wonder how many women agree with you. Girls talk ;-) what do they think?

Use a disposable razor blade in the shower/bath or use a hair removal creme like Nair or something similar.

Just a trim of the base of the shaft for me.

Otherwise rolling a cock ring off after play time with it has ended is a living bitch of a way to pull the entangled hairs out from their roots.

I did this one many years ago and found the stubble really, really annoying and never did it again. Maybe it is best if one wears boxers instead of briefs. Any opinions?

It took awhile since I was careful...plus i did get a rash one time. Since then, I was inclined to just go with a "goatee". Ie, shave the front, but leave the bottom. Maybe I'll use the dull razor idea. Before I used to use dull razors to remove lint from shirts. Now I'll shave my balls before they turn into lint removers

possible reasons……. 1 is that you just aren’t used it to it, the itchiness goes away as you get accustomed to shaving
2 did you shave “with the grain” or against? If you shaved in the opposite direction of the hair growth, that could lead to itch and rash.
