My dogs couldn’t even make it out the door to pee this morning. I had to shovel parts of the backyard for them to go. I shovelled my walkway just enough for a walking path. Within 10 mins it was covered again in CMs of snow.

I hope most can take today off and just stay home.

Help your neighbours who can’t shovel. Take breaks with shovelling. It can kill you.

HAPPY SNOW DAY!

Once I cleared some snow, my one dog was doing zoommies all over the backyard. It is so awesome seeing animals excited about snow. LOL

I could see the snow piled up outside the window from my bed. So upset I couldn't make it out of my bedroom to the bathroom to pee. Guess I'll buy a new mattress later. The pee is still warm under the covers though, so not getting up anytime soon. :ROFLMAO:

It wasn't Ontario just Toronto, Jan 1999 Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman calls in the army to help clear the snow from Toronto streets. Actually it seems apart from Toronto the rest of Ontario can deal with and are used to big dumps of snow.

Toronto is so congested that there is no place to throw the snow whereas outside of the city they just shove it aside.

WTF this ain't Buffalo!!!
No and this ain't a Lake Effect either. We got hit with a Perfect Storm, moisture coming in from Kansas mixing with Arctic air from James Bay. The funny part is that Barrie is getting significantly less snowfall than us. Honestly this is better than the freezing rain storm we got in Dec 2013. You could hear the tree branches and electrical lines snap, longest blackout since 2003.

On days like today, I'll focus on sunnier climes.

That moment when you finally finish shoveling.......and look back at where you started shoveling...

FUCK!!!!!!!!!!
We even went as far as shovelling the roadway because the plow had not gone through and people just couldn’t get out onto the main streets.

The one thing I love seeing is all the people coming together to help each other. Help elders getting snow removed, helping people who are stuck, making forts for kids. Our whole neighbourhood was out today and it was really nice to see.

You all need to spend a couple of winters out west…
I've lived in Calgary, London and Montreal (grew up in rural Quebec). This is nothing. Unbelievable, they're closing the schools tomorrow. When I was a kid I would walk 2 miles in 10 feet of snow to go to school.
