Short story, I've fallen hard for a SP. She's planning on retiring shortly to pursue a relationship with me. I'm fine with her past and that's how we've met. Am I delusional in thinking this might actually work? Or am I just living in a fairy tale?

There is no particular reason it should not work.

Except that you are getting into a relationship with an unemployed
I see that as an advantage. Where do you find a housewife these days?

I don't think there is a deficit of people of any gender who don't want to go to work and would prefer to live at the expense of their partner

How long have you known her? What are her current circumstances? Does she still speak with her clients and/or will she still maintain some client relationships? Is she currently working in non SP related work? What do you have to offer her financially? What is your age difference? Does she have any children or an ex-spouse or current spouse/boyfriend? So many questions including but not limited to the above, that would help to determine if it will work out for you.

Finding a job is quite easy at the moment... And SP are particularly good at many job. They know how to read people and how to preoperly react in a snap ;)

Sure, you can rent a Lamborghini and have fun, but owning it is a different game.

Do you have a lifestyle to support SP and all her needs, financially and emotionally? Imho, the odds are not on your side OP.
What makes you think she needs to be supported. Sws don't need any more emotional support than anyone else. Ans as far as finances go I know a few ladies who are doing just fine and have gotten degrees during their carriers
