Libel and slander are not and never have been "editorial opinion". Alleging that an individual belongs to a militia organization or is motivated by something that isn't so is grounds for civil action. You should know that "counsellor". Nick Sandmann faced much less and won.

The judge is showing obvious bias in favor of the little shit. I watched his rants at the prosecution lawyers and agree with the Harvard professor that what they said wasn't that far out of line to get that kind of reaction.
As far as there never should have been a trial. Oh yes there should. He killed 3 people. Who asked him to defend property? There is saying about not taking the law into your own hands. This applies.
