There's another reason why taxpayers should be interested in seeing more people vaccinated. We pay for healthcare through our taxes. And who's going to end up paying for all this? We are. I mean this in the context that there will never be a "return to normal" in the way were knew life pre-covid. This is a black swan event that has reshaped us globally in multiple ways.
Do you think people were saying the same thing when the Spanish Flu Pandemic killed an estimated 20-50 Million people? We're still less than 2 years into this. I'm sure like will go back to normal. May take a while, but it will.

I tend to think that's why the 20s were like they were.

I suspect that we are close in terms of vacciation levels to where we might see things get stable and start to go down. If so once we get to about 85% double, we might be able to ditch pretty much everything and things should get back to normal.
