I have not been following this thread too closely but what is the relevance of what the Palestinians want. The Israelis will never agree to a one state solution.
Basketcase claims that the two state solution is the only option, but after 20 years of the Oslo Accords all Israel did was use negotiations to stall while continuing the settler colonial movement and installing more settlers in what could have been Palestine. Netanyahu called the settlements 'facts on the ground'.

Basketcase and most right winger Jews fear the one state solution as they know that Jews are in the minority and Palestinians the majority, so basketcase has called supporting the one state, equal rights for all solution, 'genocide'.

South African didn't agree to end apartheid, it was only international pressure through sanctions like BDS, that South Africa was forced to end apartheid.
Now that the two state solution is dead, the most likely outcome, and hopefully the most peaceful, will be international sanctions that force Israel to give Palestinians basic human rights.

Only a flat out racist could term equality as genocide. The KKK and Zionists have a lot in common.

Just me and the UN, Canada, the Arab League, Israel, and the PA. It is also the most supported possibility with both Israelis and Palestinians, you know, the people actually involved.

The rest of your post is just garbage to distract from how indefensible your goal of forcing the Palestinians into a plan supported by only 6% of them.

Look, the...
46% support a Two state peace. Only 6% support your unworkable elitism.

And yes, a Two State peace will continue to be unworkable until the Hamas government accepts the concept of peace. I know you only blame Israel for everything but you can't have peace when one of the parties rejects the concept.

63% of Palestinians reject the resumption of peace talks and 52%overtly supported terrorism in their latest post. if you want to consider Palestinian opinions on peace, why do you ignore those gems?

And neither will the Palestinians. That's why it's a stupid idea for elitist westerners to continue pushing it.

Yes, basketcase, jcpro and cantaro make a fine team.

Only 13% of Palestinians think Israel is serious about the two state solution.
Keep pushing it, you sound like Trump raising money for audits.

More Palestinians think Israel supports apartheid than two states - poll
The results showed that, among those surveyed, 45% would consider Israel an apartheid state, while only 13% believe Israel to be serious about a two-state solution to the conflict.

I get that and whether or not I agree again i ask how does what the Palestinians want make a difference to Israeli policy. My sister is married to Jewish man and although I try nd stay out of the debate my sense is that Israelis will never agree to a one state solution. It takes 2 sides to make a deal.

The fact is that it’s one state already with Israeli law enforced uniformly across all territory controlled by Israel. What makes it apartheid is the patchwork of legal constructs that uniformly privilege Jews over any other group. This occurs within what we normally call Israel and the real Israel which is all the territory that Israel has controlled and ruled for more than half a century.

The trouble for Israel is that acknowledging the reality of the one state means dealing with the biggest fear of all supremacists….equality.

45% of Israelis say Israel is apartheid.
22% of US Jews say Israel is committing genocide.

That's the hate based agenda here.
So you only listen to Israelis that agree with your opinion?
what about the opinions of 78% of US Jews?

That all may well be true and I really do not know enough to express an opinion. I was simply commenting on the fact that there are poster who seem to keep debating what polls of Palestinians say and I am asking what difference it makes. I do not believe that Israeli policy will be swayed by polls of Palestinians or ice cream.

Zooloo nailed it.

The only thing to add is that not only will they never agree to the one state solution, Israeli Jews will never agree to a two state solution that created a viable Palestinian state. If you look at the Trump/Kushner plan that died on the vine, it was for full on Bantustans and full on institutional apartheid.

The apartheid one state solution is already in place.

So the only fight left is for equal rights.

Its basketcase's last line of argument. He can't argue that Israel isn't apartheid, can't argue the settlements are legal and the two state is happening when there have been no talks for years and only more settlements.
So he's left trying to claim that Palestinians don't want the one state, but again, the issue is that the one state is already here.

There will ever be peace when even you four idiots cannot even have a legitimate and practical dialogue on the issues.

It is obvious that both sides are pushing an agenda.

Also I suspect that most of the parties involved don’t want any peace as they either would cease to exist or actually have to try to serve the people they represent instead of blaming others.

How come no one mentions the millions of Palestinians living in segregated camps in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan or Egypt? Doesnt that sound wrong? Especially for 60+ years.

Yup. They should have the right of return. Problem solved.
