Yeah, but visiting ISIS websites is unusual
Would you say the same for people visiting websites for the Proud Boys or jihadwatch?
Or is this only applicable to Muslims with your way of thinking?
Just sounds a touch Islamaphobic, which given the news, isn't the way you'd be expected to react.

Coming from The guy who supports designated Terrorists group Hamas it’s no surprise you would defend someone visiting Terrorists group websites

How are those characteristics different from the average right winger?
What traits in particular?

Is there any news on how police know this was premeditated as a hate crime?
Besides the fact that he was wearing a bullet proof vest and was caught parked and sitting in his truck just outside the London Mosque?
You think they made it up?

Lol Chill... I was actually asking cause I am not too informed on it. Just saw a few news clips on it.

Don't think that proves anything though considering Mosques aren't operational right now (10 person limit) so no one goes to them. Perhaps the police know more (highly likely) but haven't released it yet.

there is hating Muslims and then there is hating Muslims enough to register their hate in a thread about Muslim family murdered. Just saying.

I'd expect that the perp talked to the police and that's why they said it.
Unless they found some other incriminating evidence, like posts on his phone or something.
Apparently the guy wasn't on social media, which is odd enough for a 20 year old these days.
But I really don't think the police would say anything like that if they couldn't back it up.

Exactly, which is why my hackles went up for Alex' post.
Apologies if that's not the case on that post.

So what if he visited the websites. The police couldn't even conclude if he supported radical Islam. They said in that article that there's no evidence he was directed by ISIS to carry out the attack.

They aren't even saying if he posted anything on any sites. A lot of the terb righties are way more radicalized than him.

It takes a really special (and by that I mean fucked up) individual to do something as horrific as that. One of the kindest, most caring people I've ever met is a Muslim gentleman and his family who lives next door to my elderly parents. He introduced himself shortly after they moved in. I'd often see him in his yard when I stopped by and we'd chat about all sorts of things.

One day he said, "here's our numbers. If there's ever an emergency or need me to check on your parents, please don't hesitate to call us. I know you're a busy person, don't live around the corner and you can't always be there on a moment's notice. In my religion we are taught to help our neighbours who live on either side of us." I had no problem giving him a key in case of an emergency. He's helped out my parents on numerous occasions.

Like I said, one of the nicest families I've ever met. It's just sickening, that individuals like that piece of garbage who killed that family live among us.

Same. I used to have this fabulous Muslim woman babysit my kids. She ran an at-home daycare. I tried a couple of sitters and daycares before but the kids let you know when they don't want to go to certain ones. They never used to cry or complain when they were with her. She was amazing.
I remember I went to pick them up one day and I forget why I upset (this was years ago) but I was a little teary-eyed when I knocked on her door, she opened her door, looked at me and pulled me in her house and just gave me the biggest hug. She brought me inside, we talked, she hugged me some more until I felt ok again.
She had this beautiful aura about her. Her husband and kids were really nice too, like really really nice.
She's not the only Muslim I know, but she was my atf. Muslims are taught in their religion to help whenever wherever they can. They are very kind gentle souls.

So, when I saw this on the news my heart broke. That poor little boy, his entire family gone all at the same time. ugh.
I hope they throw the book at that 20yr old.

He visited ISIS websites.
He went to mosques.
He apparently singled out white people only, and left the brown ones alone: https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1114452/fusillade-toronto-danforth-homme-sauve

I'm putting this guy in the radical muslim pile if you dont mind.

BTW if it turns out Veltman was only visiting white supremacists sites, are you gonna say "so what if he visited those websites" and absolve him from being a racist as well??

An eyewitness said that Miss Fallon was initially only slightly wounded in the arm. Then the bastard came back and pumped bullets after bullets into her.

The only thing that you have evidence for is that he visited ISIS websites.

I'll throw him with the right wingers since he had Alex Jones and 9/11 truther materials in his stuff.

Doug Ford called Veltman's act "terrorism" btw.

Unfortunately, no matter how much we teach our children to be inclusive, not be a racists, treat others with respect, there's always goin to be these nutjobs who take it upon themselves to perpetrate these heinous acts. There will always be fanatical individuals who walk among us. No amount of education, prayer or policing can prevent every one of these ticking time bombs from going off. All we can hope for, is that it doesn't happen very often.

Holy Fuck! That is a lot and no one thought to maybe do something sooner. This was a clear message that he was in the realm of dangerous
