Being fairly inked myself, I can honestly say that I don’t hate myself and if anything tattoos have helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin because I get to wear artwork that I love or has sentimental meaning to me for the rest of my life. Also, with that being said, tattoos (and piercings/spacers/body modification) have been a part of human cultures almost as long as we have been in existence. They date back to the earliest days of human societies, there isn’t anything trashy or unnatural about them, in fact, quite the opposite. Those points of view come from a lack of understanding that was in turn born out fear of those travelling the early worlds who didn’t understand and didn’t care to understand the meaning and reasoning for tattoos and body modification. If you think about it, even the simple ear piercings people get for their daughters when they’re like two year old is technically a body modification, so what’s the difference? Factually and objectively speaking, tattoos/body mods are neither trashy or unnatural. Subjectively speaking, your preference is your preference.
Personally, I think Lacey’s tattoos look great on her and I hope she intends on getting more
