Verified the girl's leolist pics on tineye and google image. No hits. She matched the pictures when I met her at her condo. Hot AF. Gave her $500 for 2 hours. She excused herself to freshen up. Two guys with knives drawn barged in not long after and ordered me out. Was just glad to hightail it out of there without being harmed. Took snapshots of our communication for leolist and was advised to contact the cops. Still have the screenshot as a reminder of when I narrowly escaped bodily harm.

Something similar happened to me also a few years back. It made me really, really cautious and careful examining communications(absolutely no first time meets over text) or before handing over cash and taking my clothes off(without first checking the premises and, if possible, chaining the door).

Some contractors get a deposit only to vanish. Clients looking for every excuse in the book not to pay after job is done. Doesn't mean people aren't renovating.

Getting a first available contractor on Kijiji is very similar to finding a LeoList independent. Maybe you'll get lucky, maybe you'll get screwed.

Some clients don't like paying, but it doesn't mean all are bad.

Do your homework, read reviews and recommendations. Perhaps this way there's a better chance for success.
