We got another winner, somehow Charle missed this guy during his news reports. What kind of name is Jatorri never heard before? Four murder charges? Will BLM release a statement?

A Toronto man already facing three homicide charges in connection to fatal shootings in 2018 and 2019 has now been charged in a fourth killing dating back to September 2018.

Sometime before 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, 16-year-old Elijah Aziavor was near his home in the area of Bellamy Road North and Cedar Brae Boulevard.

A neighbour told CP24 at the time she let him charge his phone in her home, and then overheard him making plans to meet someone.

He went outside and was shot at least once.

Police attempted to revive him at the scene and he was rushed to a hospital trauma centre where he was later pronounced dead.

Aziavor was the 78th homicide victim of 2018.

On Thursday, a suspect identified as Jatorri Williams was arrested and charged with first degree murder for Aziavor's death.

Williams is already in custody facing charges of second degree murder in the Sept. 18, 2018 killing of 19-year-old Jago Anderson.

Police said Friday that in consultation with the Crown Attorney's office the new charge laid this week will be prosecuted together with the second degree murder charge laid in connection with Anderson’s death.

Williams is also separately facing first-degree murder charges in the Oct. 1, 2019 killings of Delauntae Bryant and Eric Rowe.

Bryant, Rowe and a third victim, a boy, were shot in front of a townhouse on Venetian Crescent, south of the Jane and Finch Mall.

The boy managed to escape the scene and survived.

Williams is expected to appear via video link on Oct. 21 at Toronto East Courts.

His being "in custody" was clearly ineffective. We need capital punishment for people like this. He clearly places zero value on human life, so the rest of the world would be better off without him.
Your point is the same, makes you no different than him, only difference is he did the killing himself, you want others to do it for you.

Violence only creates more violence

I have yet to read a post that will show how to fix the problem of gang violence.

Everyone is always quick to point fingers and blame and be angry and offer violence and harsh punishment as a way to deal with it.

This guy is done for life, but there are thousands behind him, and we need to find a solution.

The first step would be to actually find a solution to the problem.

So many fucking smart people on this board with knowledge from every walk of life,

There is a difference and it's recognized in all cultures. If you take a life then you must forfeit your own, otherwise justice will not be served. A terrible crime deserves a terrible punishment. That's not murder, it's justice.

Solutions? There are no magic bullets for the gang problems. Even more so, these days, with the race/disadvantaged component thrown into the mix. Minimum sentences for an unauthorized handgun possession would be a good start. A stiff, mandatory dime for using a firearm in the commission of a crime ON TOP of the possession charge would help as well. It will never fly in our "justice" system, but a near permanent removal of the perps from the general population is always the first step to keeping the crime under wraps. Beyond that? Smarter recreational drug policy to take the profit motive out of the drug trade and better urban planning. Jane and Finch/Steels has been a problem since the 80s and the area needs to be redeveloped.

If convicted he's looking at 4 X 25 = 100 years in jail. Talk about making stupid decisions in life

Sorry, but the guy is a lowlife. I have no issue with ridding the planet of people who murder others. Locking him up for life serves no point other than to keep others safe. You murder others, you forfeit your rights.

Blacks make heroes out of the deplorables of their race, no other race does that. This is why blacks will always find themselves in the position they are in, it will never change because they won't change.

I would be interested in knowing his background doesn't excuse his crimes but might give some clues as to why.

Most of the young black men committing crimes in and around our city are Jamaican and Somali. These people are also overly represented in low income neighborhoods. Anyone familiar with the local hip hop scene knows who these guys are for the most part. It's well documented on social media who these guys have beef with.

Not all black people in and around our city are Jamaican or Somali. Jamaicans are despised in other Caribbean islands, I bring that up to dispell the notion of any kind alliance between black people.

this is such a great quote. I cannot seem to find it myself. Do you recall the original source?

Chuckles thinks no one read the news so posts everything that strikes his interest.

I'll take that waste of bandwith over a guy who mainly starts threads to push his view about black people being criminals.
