Um... Nope! Imho Sam Moore was one of the greatest soul singers ever, and Dave Prater was his perfect partner and foil (even as much as they hated each other towards the end of their partnership).
can anyone today perform like this? if so please name them
Btw, shortly after it was released, I read a review in Creem magazine about Sam & Dave's "I Thank You" album. They couldn't praise it enough, to which I totally agreed, and they stated that it was recorded in just a few days of studio time in between two on-the-road gigs. Outstanding!!!Um... Nope! Other great "soul" duos that come to mind, but not at the same level:
Ernie & Eddie
Mel & Tim
James & Bobby Purify
Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell
The Righteous Brothers
Hall & Oates

He's only been around since the early-mid 90's. You'll get around to it................eventuallyI'm out of touch, never heard any of Jay - Z's music.
The local scene has become so vibrant that I haven't paid attention to anything foreign, how's K-os career going since he moved to Vancouver?
Wow what a concert. Never heard of the The MarKeys -was that supposed to read The Bar-Kays?Also, a must see DVD is the "Stax/Volt Revue, Live In Norway" from a 1967 concert.
Artists:
Otis Redding
Sam & Dave,
Eddie Floyd
Arthur Conley
