Those who defend the protests need to comment on this.

There are lot of video of peaceful protesters dancing and singing.

There are lots of videos of protesters doing shit-awful stuff.

I'm sure there are dozens of cops out there trying to do their duty decently and getting little credit and many bruises.

There are videos of nasty cops being nasty.

There are cops using excessive force and severely injuring innocent people. I am sure there are cops saving people as well.

It's what it is. History in the making is always totally fucked up - not like you learn in grade 10 civics.

Am I going to defend the protests?.... Hell ya! If tens of thousands of black Americans take to the streets and tell me that the system is fucked, I'm going to listen. And if they have to demonstrate to MAKE me listen, I have to respect that.

I'm only addressing the three officers present besides Chauvin. As far as the three officer's direct action, kneeling on someone's back for a short time isn't lethal. Indirectly, Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's isn't automatically lethal.

People can be extremely pissed off by the three officer's inaction, but I can't see it as anything other than negligence of duty. Their defense will really be that they were focused on the crowd and had no idea to the extent of force being applied by Chauvin. There's reasonable doubt in my opinion. They will likely lose their jobs, but that's all I can see at this juncture.
Try this one on for size. Floyd had underlying health issues including hypertensive heart disease and coronary artery disease.

That we know. Suppose the toxicology report comes back and he is found to have meth in his system.

Then we see a video from another angle which shows Chauvin's right knee on the ground while his left knee is on his neck. Thus dispersing the pressure immensely.

The cause of death is ruled to be a heart attack due to his underlying conditions and the narcotics in his system coupled with the duress he was under.

I hope personally that this is not the case but.......

Bull shit. Like all racists, you want the cop to walk.

Man is drowning. Says he can't swim. Cop pushes and holds his head under water (while he has a smirk on his face). Man dies. Cop keeps his head and lifeless body under water for 3 more minutes.

Civics? Not in my era,lol.

So are you still going to defend these protests if they burn your store down and attack you?

Aside from the fact that this is a small group...

Care to tell us why you didn't post the full video? You know, where it starts with him attacking a kid on a skate board, with what appears to be a sword or machete? He targeted a kid who ran for his life. The crowd saw it and came to the kid's aid. Otherwise, that kid could have hacked to death.

This beating went too far, but this started with him trying to kill a kid. After they disarmed him, they should have backed off. I thought you were a proponent of beating the threat until the threat is neutralised. Isn't that what's afforded to policemen under fire?

It was also stated that he didn't own a store.

Ermmmm, you weren't interested in knowing what lead up to all that, so you stopped at that without digging further?

This after your previous lectures on other threads?

WOW!!!!!!!!!! I guess you really don't practice what you preach!

quelle surprise.

Dig deeper, and relentlessly, like you did for the Arbery case.

I believe in you.

PS: Can't wait to hear how much sympathy you are losing for the NYPD after that James Fields tactic.

I've suggested Marijuana and lately Xanax but he doesn't seem to want any help.

I'm interested to see if his statement is true though.'' Care to tell us why you didn't post the full video? I'm not on twitter so I leave that in your capable hands
