A question about the technique used by Chauvin to subdue a suspect.

How many times have that technique been used? How many suspects were hurt or died?

What about his partner who was just keeping onlookers at bay, but had to be hearing what they were saying, and what was going on behind him. Is he not an accomplice?

He didn't die of asphyxia or strangulation.

Chauvin is probably gonna walk. No factual basis for a murder conviction.
Quelle surprise.

Now the riots will surely stop.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm........

Isn't it easier simply to throw Chauvin down the toilet??

The riots WON'T stop if Chauvin walks. They'll think the system is so corrupt and broken that a crooked cop walked free. Chauvin's not an important player. He's a nothing.

If I'm "THE MAN", don't I throw Chauvin off the bus so me and my rich, white cronies can keep riding with no problems?

Chauvin trial wont start until 6 to 12 months from now.

Riots will end within 3 days or so

If he walks, they'll start again and worse than they are now.

The conspiracies theories about "The Man" and "no justice for Blacks" will abound and the anger will be tenfold.

I respectfully disagree Counsellor .

Here is the Minnesota definition of Third Degree Murder. It's almost as if it was written specifically for this smug asshole.

"Third-degree murder carries a sentence of up to 25 years in prison. It is defined in the state's criminal statute as applicable to "whoever, without intent to effect the death of any person, causes the death of another by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life."

I also don't agree that just because the cop was kneeling on his neck, the cause of death has to be asphyxiation or strangulation. The placement of his knee was quite close, if not pressing on, the carotid artery. This would have the effect of reducing the blood flow to his brain by half. As you know, properly applying a choke hold does the same thing to render one unconscious.

The obvious distress of this man could certainly cause a cascading reaction that could cause cardiac arrest.

Do you know if the "thin skull" doctrine applies in criminal proceedings?

Need a cause of death first. And I'd have to think about the "thin skull rule".
