Toliker do yourself a favour and watch the original The Taking of Pelham 123.

The leads are Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw and Jerry Stiller. Sorry but Shaw makes Travolta look like Ralphiecakes.

Yes, I saw the original many moons ago......Mr Green, Mr Blue etc. Brilliant movie and Shaw did 'out bad' Travolta. Doesn't alter the fact I enjoy Travolta portrayal of a bad guy!

You took mine :) Gene Hackman. Take a look at The Conversation or Mississippi Burning, pure brilliance.

KK
His acting in Mississippi Burning was gangster. One of my fav Hackman films. Loved this scene

Looks like K Douglas and I have something in common. Hackman was alway my favourite. My two favourite performances by him are Bite the Bullet (his “the things we do for love” speech is the epitome of great acting) and French Connection 2, where Popeye Doyle goes to Marseille to nab Charnier. His kicking heroin cold turkey scenes are fantastic.
I want to refresh my own post, the scene from Bite the Bullet is actually “the people some people marry” scene.

"After the fox" wasn't the type of film that got us interested
in Lando Buzzanca. We didn't care much for his flair for comedy.
We were just desperate for a glimpse of the skin of Agostina Belli,
Femi Benussi, Laura Antonelli and Rossana Podesta.
Laura Antonelli (sigh...)

Ghawar
Yul Brynner for his fantastic screen presence and
charisma. He commanded every scene he was in.

Sean Connery, post Bond mivies. The Rock, Hunt for Red October et al.......brilliant.

Honourable mention to John Travolta, strange choice maybe, however he had the bad guy role down pat IMHO. Swordfish, Broken Arrow, Taking of Pelham 123.
He was good in Marnie

Sean Connery. The best James Bond of all time in classics such as Thunderball and From Russia with Love and you say just post Bond? Come on!!! You probably didnt like him in Entrapment?
I thought Sean Baby gave his best performance in The Name of the Rose...even though the film sucked. Ive read the book in both English and Italian, F Murray Abraham was also in it and they wasted him.

Some may disagree but this is the best performance by an actor in a film. Capezze di Venere!

Zeta-Jones looked good in this one as his grand daughter.

Entrapment was a great movie, Connery was brilliant! I didn't say I didn't like Connery's Bond movies. However, again IMHO, Connery's best work was done post Bond, 'Entrapment' was well past his Bond days.

Red October was tough to beat.
