It appears that James Palotta is getting ready to sell Roma to Texas billionaire Dan Friedkin with his privately held consortium The Friedkin Group.

https://www.friedkin.com/

Current transfer director Gianluca Petrachi has done a great job at repairing the damage Monchi did. There is no justification for selling Alisson, Romangnioli, Salah and Pjanic and also allowing Strootman to leave. And having to deal with Roman bureaucratic midhole to get his stadium built has worn him out. Even with the injuries they've had they're racking up points. With the young players maturing they could do serious damage the rest of the season. A decision has to be made on Smalling, ManU are asking for $23.5 million. His partnership with Mancini has brought calm to the rest of the club. And Paolo Fonseca is a great coach.

Started watching Barcelona -Dortmund today, the Germans sucked, they're usually a good team. They kept making mistakes and blunders and of course Barcelona took advantage to the point that I switched to Napoli - Liverpool ..Liverpool were al over the Parthenopeans ended up in 1-1.

Ancelotti is Klopp's daddy, this is the first point the German has taken from him in CL competition.

It was very risky to play without forwards, Liverpool had overwhelming ball possession but not many chances. The Partenopei had De Lorenzo in midfiled, his role was clear, to stop Salah from running at the defense. Imho he was the Man of the match. A fight nearly broke out when Henderson knocked him into the seats. I was shocked, Liverpool fans blocked him from falling over - a radical difference from what they used to be. Napoli players took exception, lead by Koulibaly, he and Henderson got carded.

Inter did what they had to do but Dortmund still has the advantage. Inter has to win in San Siro against Barcelona to qualify, without Barella that's a tall order.

Up until this year Giovanni De Lorenzo was a journeyman.

Important announcement: YT is coming out with FootballTV and as of the summer of 2020, Serie A will no longer be broadcast on DAZN.

Inter are in tough to qualify for the knockout stage, they'll have to win in Prague without Nicolo Barella. They may not have the depth to contend for the scudetto, Conte is asking for reinforcement come January. Who knows, Gareth Bale could end up a Nerroazzurri. Can Tottenham afford his wages?

Having been out of Canada for a few years now and just came back about a month ago I am so confused as to who is broadcasting what? So it seems DAZN has taken away EPL from Sportsnet and TSN, who broadcasts La Liga and Serie A in this country? I watch most things streaming as I cant be bothered to pay for cable for years and I was at a friend's place the other day, does Sportsnet World have any reason to exist beyond broadcasting Bundesliga over and over?

Interesting isn't it.

Al Jazeera own beIN Sports and DAZN, they came in and took everything, but it didn't last long. La Liga pulled out in the summer, they got a sweetheart deal from Mediaset. There has been a succession at that company, it's now owned by Pier Silvio Berlusconi and he's intent on making the company a Latin languages global powerhouse. Mediaset bought TLN and Univision, as of the end of the current season DAZN will have no further access to Serie A matches. TLN broadcasts six Serie A matches on the weekend, its wonderful! So far Mediaset has five channels in Canada and they want more. Mediaset Espana broadcasts La Liga, they are negotiating with the CRTC to start a Spanish language version of TLN that will bring full access to la Liga as well.

TSN still broadcasts Euro and WC qualifications but for how long? YT Football TV has just launched.

Slight correction DAZN is owned by Access Industries an American media group and not Al Jazeera which does own BEIN, speaking of which having been in the Middle East for awhile it is minded boggling how many leagues they have the rights to broadcast to. From the 3 top leagues EPL, La Liga and Serie A to mid level ones like Eredivisie in the Netherlands, Qatar is really pushing to make its presence to the world known using football well having bought the next World Cup also. With the resources of the likes of BEIN and Access Industries, what chance do TSN and Sportsnet have? it will just be continental and international tournaments along with MLS I would think for now. As for football TV all I saw was video of the PES video game?

I cut my cable and just have DAZN, Netflix, prime for now. All I really watch is BPL and Champions League so it works out for me that way. All those BPL analysis shows and special coverage that used to be on Sportsnet world are now on DAZN. I know that La Liga left DAZN as soon as BPL joined them because they don’t want to be advertised second to the BPL.

During the Euro tournament I think I’ll sign up for the TSN app for a few months at $20 a month. I’ve been streaming Euro qualifiers but those sites only work well in games that not many are watching. In popular games or events, so many people pile in that it lags to the point where it’s unwatchable.

McNasty is going to enjoy this.

Pellegrini is back from injury, he has a nose for setting up scoring chances. That's the difference between Italy and England, the English are poor at developing registras (distributors).

Italy and Argentina. Two teams I love seeing lose.
You must have enjoyed the last several years. Prior to the selection for Russia, Messi didn't want Icardi and Dybala on the Selects. As for Italy....well....

The reality is England hasn't had a world class distributor since Bryan Robson, he was better than Beckham. Who knows, if not for "Il Mano Divino" England could have won the 1986 WC. Who plays that role know?

Even though this is the best England team I’ve seen in the last 20 years, their main weakness is the creative midfielder. If they had Milner and Oxlade Chamberlain in the last World Cup, I think they would have done even better. Henderson, Milner, Ox was the midfield that powered Liverpool to the Champions League Final the first time around. Ox got injured and Milner already retired from International duty.

I think Winks is their best option for that role right now, newcomers like Maddison and Mount are still unproven at that level.

Paul Scholes??
Wasn't Paul Scholes more of a trequartista (false 9) than a distributing midfielder. The unfortunate part for England, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard never gelled, they probably would have been major contenders for International silverware if they had. I hear Unai Emery has been fired at Arsenal, he's been made the scapegoat for management's failure to support their coach, it's been going on for over a decade now. Max Allergi doesn't want the job.

Too bad Aaron Ramsey is Welsh, he's surprised me since joining Juventus. Did he play the False 9 for Arsenal?

Inter are at the top of the table, they face Roma next.

Both will be without star players, Barella is injured and Mancini is suspended. We're going to find out how good Smalling actually is, first game without his defensive partner.

Group F is going to be a meat grinder, I don't see Germany advancing.

Is Albania in the playoff round, they have two excellent goalkeepers.

Strakosha has Lazio in 3rd place and Berisha makes spectacular saves. He'll be at a bigger club next year.
